”It’s hard to comment properly as we arrived late in the dark but even still the staff on the desk were so friendly greeting us, and super helpful and understanding when I realised I’d made a mistake with the booking. It’s lovely and quiet despite being so close to the motorway. Immediately put at ease and reassured that it’s a great place to stay, even if as it is for us just an overnight stopover mid journey. ”
”The staff were Brilliant. We were given what could be described as a standard room when we arrived. When we showed reception picture of room which was booked they changed room to room on picture immediately. It was mentioned that it should not have been advertised as a superior room. Hotel was perfect for a warm , quiet welcome after a day walking. Staff were fantastic. ”
”Hotel as described. 10 minutes walk into Grasmere. Free parking, although I doubt enough if hotel at capacity. Bus stop outside. Breakfast was nice & plenty of options. We had dinner one evening and it was good & good value.

We decline one days room clean in exchange for a couple of free drinks, that was a nice idea and encoraged reuse of towels etc

”Amazing stay at a beautiful property. Just off the Coast to Coast walk, this hotel was a perfect place to recover from a long walk. And the all-day tea/coffee and scones was a lifesaver. The rooms were nice and the food was delicious. Could not recommend more. They even had a place to fill up water bottles/bladders next to a gear drying room, which was a nice touch. ”

”Highly, highly recommend this lovely bed and breakfast in the Lake District. I really appreciated the ease and efficiency of contactless check-in (and the extra tea, coffee and milk packets by the front door). Quiet and clean room with super comfy beds, and a great shower. The breakfast the next morning was exceptional! Will definitely stay here again next time we’re in the area. ”
”We had a lovely one night stay. We were warmly greeted and our room was spacious, up quite a few stairs so beware if you have heavy cases. We enjoyed a swim in the pool and used the hot tub. A well equipped gym was also available. The pool was very clean and a pleasant temperature. These facilities were all included in the room price but there is a limited timetable when you can use the pool due to lesson and member sessions.
We ate dinner at the hotel which was very tasty and well presented....

This is more of a guest house style than a modern ‘hotel’ and has decor/styling that reflects this, but all areas were very clean and tidy.
The bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean and had good storage and tea/coffee facilities.
