”We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the room with a card from Lane Retreat wishing our 10year old @Buckythefriendlypup a Happy Birthday and enjoy our wine country celebrations. The breakfast selections were excellent. Parking was convenient. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Pool was clean. We including the poochies enjoyed our stay!”

”The room was beautiful. Mix of modern and rustic. Everything was clean and well maintained. We had towels changed over and our room tidied even though it was only a 2 night stay which was a surprise. We loved sitting on the balcony facing the vineyard and listening to the array of birds. Would love to stay here again for a future visit.”

”The place was lovely but the air-conditioner in both bedrooms needed replacing. The manager did give us a good heater after being cold in both bedrooms on the first night. We needed to leave the door open in the 2nd bedroom to allow the heat to flow through from the living area. ”

”We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The owners and amenities exceeded our expectations and the owners went out of their way to make you feel welcomed. ”

”Such a lovely quiet location in love surrounds to enjoy a break away from the city.”

”Very clean comfortable & easy to deal with”

”We booked a room for 5 persons and the room was prepared for 4 people. When asked, we were told that it is possible to make the sofabed and bring a towel, but only against additional costs. The room was dates and poorly cleaned and had a half eaten cherry and similar items on the floor ”

”Great location and very central to everything. A nice cafe on site with great food and really friendly staff. Our accommodation was clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful and even though we didn’t have in-house housekeeping each day, they offered clean towels, pool towels, dishwashing liquid etc, so we never ran short. There was a great pool which was nice and warm with a cover over one end to protect you from the sun. All in all a great place to stay. Would be a...

”On arrival there was no visible reception, which was surprising given how busy the weekend was. It was very confusing to find our accommodation and we had to call multiple times before anyone answered. The room provided was not the one we booked, and the property looked very run-down. Perhaps new owners but they certainly weren’t very helpful. Rooms were not serviced. For $1,000 for two nights, it was definitely not worth the money and would say, was the worst place we’ve stayed in Pokolbin. Very...

”Beautiful elegant room and a super comfortable bed. The grounds and gardens were delightful. Our host was lovely and helpful. My only negative is the horrible acrylic blankets on the bed, hot and uncomfortable to sleep under. We will be back with byo blankets.”

”Location great; 2 sitting areas and great views of the kangaroos skipping past”

”Love this place, such a beautiful spot and owners are so friendly and down to earth. We will definitely be returning.”

”This is the 3rd time i have stayed at the woolshed. Love the accomodation, very clean and everything you need is available.”

”What a beautiful, intimate, quaint cottage and only 10 minutes from the vineyards. Helen was the most lovely host, very knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. It was so peaceful and it felt like we were stepping into a cottage in the rolling hills of England. We loved our stay, the lovely breakfast each morning and definitely will be returning in the cooler months to sit around the beautiful log fire with a bottle of the Hunter’s finest.”
