”Love this hotel which has also had a wee upgrade since being taken over by its new owners recently but still retains its warm welcome for visitors as well as being a popular venue for locals. Parents first stayed here in 1962 and it was always a favourite for family meals out or a drink in the bar. Had a lovely warm and comfortable room and fab breakfast! Bus stop into the centre is just outside or it’s a fine walk into town or to Rosemount (just allow for the uphill on the way back 😊) So glad...

”Car parking is charged at £5 a day even though in the rooms weekend parking is free. Reception stated it was out of date. Didn’t bother finding what else was out of date! Otherwise seemed ok”

”We stayed here for one night with my mum, and our stay was just perfect. The hotel is simply beautiful and has a real castle vibe. The best thing was that the spa was included, which we weren't aware of before arriving. We had nice dinner at the hotel and then enjoyed the rest of the evening in the spa, till it closed. It was truly relaxing stay and on top of that even though I managed to lose my necklace after leaving the spa, when I emailed the hotel later, they had managed to find it and send...

”Very nice home and property. Great value. Seems like an excellent location for visiting Aberdeen. Hosts were great. Parking was easy (and free). Only one minor issue. Our room was in the front of the house which is on a very busy street. So with our window open (it was unseasonably warm during our trip) there was quite a bit of traffic noise.”

”No amenities and no one to speak with. I received text messages & messages through Expedia from hotel, yet when I reached out in this same fashion there was no response. The property is clean. Somewhat noisy area, although close to most things. Not truly a hotel. ”

”Nice, clean and spacious room. The bed was good and the bathtub was lovely. Breakfast was also good: kind of basic scottish breakfast, but tasty and good quality. Quiet surroundings, but still in the center of the city.”
