”The friendliest place ever, with a true inn experience, rooms above the pub, small but with an ensuite! Centrally located for trips to Bath, Bradford on Avon, even only 1 hour from Wales. Bed was comfortable, shower was wonderful. Mostly the people made us feel like family, so lovely.”

”There is parking behind the waitrose and staff walked us there after their shift had ended to ensure we understood the parking App since tomorrow is the Farmers Market on High Street and we would have to move the vehicle early. Now it’s all sorted and paid in advance. Of course it’s an older hotel and everything is crooked and settled, but you should come here for that eclectic experience, as we did. I just miss the old mural that was painted in the pub before, replaced by a more modern map. ”

”The area around Box Hill is beautiful. Some nice little nature areas within strolling distance. Good star-gazing. Staff at the pub were great, as were the locals. Excellent local ciders and ales. Food was great too, great ploughman's lunch. Amazing place to watch the sunset and see the lights of Bath in the distance. ”

” We booked for a weekday night and enjoyed a very quiet and peaceful stay. The staff were incredibly kind and made everything clear from the moment we arrived. Upon entering our room, we were instantly impressed by the clean, spacious, and beautifully presented accommodation. It featured a large bathroom, a big TV, a kettle, a fridge, and a very comfortable bed. We even had a stunning view from our large open window overlooking the front car park (a lovely car park!). Breakfast was included...
