Ylellinen Highlands Cottage Cromarty Firth

Gem Cottage on kaunis, perinteisesti rakennettu kivimökki, jossa on moderni sisustus Cromarty Firthin rannalla. Mökissä on lukuisia mukavuuksia, kuten puupoltin, lattialämmitys, sauna, vapaasti seisova sauna ja sadesuihku. Askeleen päässä etuovesta hiljaiselle lahdelle ja kivirannalle. Taaksepäin mökissä on keskeytymätön näköala Wyvis-alueelle ja Fyrish-muistomerkille. Lampaat laiduntavat mökin takana olevaa kenttää. NC500: ssa, vain 20 kilometriä Invernessistä pohjoiseen.

Mökin sisällä on valoisa, avoin oleskelutila ja keittiö, joka keskittyy kodikkaan hirttulampun ympärille. Täydellinen paikka ottaa näkymät vuorille, katsellen auringonnousua Cromarty Firthin yli tai nauttia lampaiden laiduntamisesta mökin takana olevilla aloilla. Lukuhuoneessa on kirjaa tai yhteys Wi-Fi-verkkoon tai älykkääseen televisioon ja katsella elokuvaa tulipalosta sateisena päivänä. Täysin varusteltu keittiö sopii erinomaisesti ruokailuun. Kierrä Aga -logi-poltinta niin, että se on ruokapöydälle päin, ja voit nauttia aterian tulipalossa.

On yksi makuuhuone, jossa on super king-vuode, vaatehuone ja oma kylpyhuone, jossa on vapaasti seisova kylpyamme. Toinen märkähuone kylpyhuone, jossa on sadesuihku ja kahden hengen sauna, on täydellinen paikka rentoutua ja rentoutua päivän jälkeen. Tai lämmetä sen jälkeen, kun avoin vesi ui uunissa!

On ylimääräinen huone (lukusali), jossa on sohva, joka muuntaa kaksi erillistä vuodetta, joissa on täydet patjat. Mökki on yhdellä kaistateellä, jossa on vain muutama naapuri, mutta se on alle kilometrin kävelymatka Evantoniin, jossa on kauppa ja pubi.

Mökki sijaitsee suoraan NC500: ssa. Yksi maailman upeimmista rannikkoliikenteen reiteistä.

Paikallisia nähtävyyksiä: Black Rock Gorge, Fyrish Monument (15 min), Loch Glass (20 min), Ben Wyvis (45 min), Aviemore / Cairngormsin kansallispuisto (1 h)

Kiltearnin kävelee Kiltearnin kirkosta, muutama sata metriä puutarhasta.

Mökki on yksi taso, jossa on modernit leveät ovet, märkätila ja ramppi.

Fabulous Holiday in Gem House

Gabrielle’s attention to detail was amazing. She provided everything we could have wanted and more. There were numerous books on the history of Scotland as well as things to do in Scotland that we enjoyed pouring over. We also loved the wood burning stove, soaking tub and sauna…so relaxing after a day of hiking. I think what I personally enjoyed the most was all of the art work on the walls.and the extra touches that turn a house into a home. We highly recommend Gem House and would definitely return if we travel to Scotland in the future. Warm regards, Jandira and Tom

This place is perfect. It's down a country road and right on a beautiful walking path that goes along the water and into the nearby village of Evanton. Very private, very clean. 10/10 would stay here again.

Perfectly beautiful!!!!!

My husband and I were based at this beautiful cottage during our trip to the Highlands. The communication with Gabrielle was on point no matter what the question and/or concern. She was extremely timely and accommodating in her replies - every time! The cottage’s setting is like something out of a movie. This property was immaculate, comfortable and cozy, amazing views from every window, well supplied kitchen, really nice front and side decks, minutes from the water and a wonderful old church steps away. It was the perfect location for all our day trips. We booked a 3 day tour of The Orkney and never worried for a minute about leaving the cottage and coming back to find everything was just as we left it. Gabrielle was so sweet to assure us that it was fine. The furniture, art work, decorative pieces, books and creature comforts were all perfect! Whether you are wanting to escape the chaos of the world, a romantic getaway, a base for all things Highlands - do not hesitate for one minute. You will be delighted and so thankful you did. Wonderful cottage

A beautiful cottage and lovely peaceful location. The welcoming gifts were much appreciated. A very comfortable and well equipped cottage. Underfloor heating was great, and the wood burner in the evenings made it so cosy. Thank you Gabrielle. We will definitely be back.

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gabrielle's wonderful cottage. What a perfect place to enjoy a storm and look out at the blowing trees. Beyond Expectations

This property exceeded all of our expectations. The house is impeccably decorated to a high standard and style. Looks like an example from a decorating magazine. It’s an incredibly cozy cottage with wonderful views of sheep and hills out the back. Close to many local attractions. Gabrielle was very responsive, and nice touches like milk in the refrigerator and snacks upon arrival were greatly appreciated. I have stayed at many rental properties, and this one sits at the top. I highly recommend it

A Preeminent Property and Best Vacation Ever!!!!!

This is a fabulous property. We enjoyed an entire month here and fell absolutely in love with the location, the people, and the sites that are within a reasonable distance from the cottage. A walk out the front door can either take you along the firth on one side and sheep on the other, or along the firth to a lovely wood, the trail in the woods leads to the nearest village. The cottage itself exceeded all expectations. Modern fixtures and features were notable throughout the dwelling. A very comfortable place to relax in or return to after a day of adventure. The well-equipped kitchen was perfect for cooking in when desired. On cool evenings, building a fire in the woodstove offered great comfort and coziness. The big claw foot tub and little two-person sauna just topped off the comfort of this wonderful cottage. And, the cottage is beautifully decorated as well. The hostess, Gabrielle, is over the top competent in making sure our stay enjoyable. We unreservedly give this property and the hostess the highest of recommendation.

Perfect cottage

Gem Cottage was the perfect place for our first stay in this area. Cottage is comfortable and well-equipped and the views from it are lovely. Lots of good walks all around and easy access to a range of places to visit such as Dornoch, Cawdor Castle and the pottery at Tain. Can highly recommend.

Peaceful cottage

This is a beautiful cottage in a quiet location on the Cromarty Firth. Homely luxury. Fluffy white towels and dressing gowns, lovely toiletries, underfloor heating, beautiful bathrooms, well fitted kitchen, comfy bed. We used this as a base for golf and walks is and it didn’t disappoint. Would love to visit again.

We very much enjoyed our stay at "Gem Cottage" It's a great location for discovering and day trips to the highlands. Everything you need is provided for. Thanks Gabrielle for cake and biscuits- which my husband devoured. I stuck to the chilled bottle provided which was a treat!! Comfy large bed. Will visit again when/if in this area.

A wonderful stay in Evanton

We had a super time at Gem Cottage. The property was as beautiful as the photos, amazingly clean throughout with lovely quality bed linen and towels. The gorgeous Highland toiletries a welcome addition to the luxurious bathrooms. We had several local days outs, with a walk up to the local Fyrish Monument being a favourite on a cold clear morning - amazing views for miles around. I would highly recommend staying here , with lots nearby to see and do. Our family can’t wait to return.

Perfect holiday getway!

Gabrielles Gem Cottage is so aptly named. It’s the perfect little gem to bunker down for the holidays and that is exactly what my husband and I did. Of course the luxury amenities such as heated floors and the sauna ( not to mention a claw foot tub!) but Gabrielle's added touches of holiday cheer made us feel most welcome! Can not recommend enough and do hope to be able to stay again!!

Felt Like Home

Truly a gem, no doubt about it. Everything was as advertised and then some. We really enjoyed the peace, quiet, and picturesque surroundings. Our host, Gabrielle, was extraordinarily helpful providing us with additional suggestions beyond what’s already provided for local, nearby, and day-long excursions to incredible sites and history. Lovely cottage

This cottage is a real gem. You can immediately see the accurateness with which the house is arranged. Every room is well-equipped - especially the kitchen and the bathrooms. The cottage can be found at a quiet place near the sea however the position is very suitable to undertake trips at the area around. We felt very comfortable and would highly recommened this place.
