”The Grand Hotel in Torquay has an excellent position when travelling without a car. The hotel is a minute away from Torquay station on one side, four minutes at the back (which means disability access to both train platforms). The beach is right across the road. The bus stops are in front of the hotel, going to the port and central town. ”We stayed here for a wedding, beautiful property and the beds were comfy, a good nights sleep and we had kind receptionist. Our neighbours were noisy at 2/3am in the morning and there was a bit of dirt in the sink when we arrived but this did not affect our stay. ”

”Absolutely fabulous place to stay - we had our hire car so it did not matter that it’s a bit away from towns - great size room and really great choice of meal options - restaurant and pub style both offered - really well equipped and could’ve stay a lot longer - very quiet and lovely view over the tidal estuary - east drive to Torquay, Dartmouth, Totness and extremely beautiful part of the world - loved it - this was a 2 night stay”
