”The hotel was lovely and our room was excellent. We can't fault any of the staff as they were friendly and helpful. The only thing we had an issue with was the catering for the evening meals. On the 2 nights we ate in the restaurant there were several meals and additional dishes that weren't available on both nights. ”Room was dirty, scuffed paintwork, stained carpet, skirting boards thick with grime and dust, cobwebs and dead bugs (in the cobwebs) on the ceiling. Not to mention the previous guests dirty towels and sheets were left in a heap in the middle of the floor. At £200 per night excluding breakfast I expect much much better. Very disappointing.”

”The room was lovely apart from the heat as we stayed during a UK heatwave. A fan was provided luckily especially as our room was up in the eaves. It would have been nice to have had a tv but I guess they want you to spend time (and money) in the pub not in your room. The kitchen area would have also benefitted from a small fridge so the milk and water (replenished daily) could have been kept cold. We were on room only basis, however, we did eat breakfast in the pub on our first morning. The food...

”Comfortable stay. Nice room n0 260 everything was clean complimentary fridge items were a nice bonus. Staff were pleasant. Shopping area not too far away. Just thought there was only a swimming pool on site but to my amazement they had a jacuzzi steam and sauna too. Didn't see any mention of this when booking online but it was a great surprise which we made the most of on our 2 night stay. Travelled from there to Milton Keynes for Reggae Land.”

”This B&B was exceptional. The attention to detail was out of this world. It felt almost like staying in a top class hotel. Everything was laid on and Helen was superb in anticipating everthing I needed. And the breakfast - well - no words to describe how great it was. Again the attention to the smallest detail was fantastic. Will certainly stay here again if I'm in the area. Well Done!”

”Very good stay, if you have a car. Without a car, no chance. Oxford city around 20min away. Clean, quite big room. Okay bed. Nothing special, but everyrhing worked. No restaurant. Breakfast was poor. No fridge. ”

”The ground floor room was comfortable and adequate for our two night stay. There was some traffic noise from the busy main road, but it wasn’t too much of an issue. The hotel is situated close to the bus stop where there are frequent buses into the city centre.”
