”The Hotel was situated conveniently close to the event we attended. Whilst the room served its purpose for a one night stay it was not in the best of repair, with a hole in the carpet, coffee stains on the wall, damaged plinth under the shower and no lock on the bathroom door which didn't actually completely close. Paid £8.99 for breakfast which probably was about the right price for what was on offer. We elected for a Full English which in my opinion was missing a few things like mushrooms and...

”An absolute gem! A wonderful authentic pub offering such comfortable and friendly accommodation. The restaurant food is delicious and the full English breakfast is the best I can remember. The village is delightful.. and we were lucky enough to stay a Thursday when there is music, and we also had the best Mortis dancing! Such a memorable stay! Thank you”

”We were not prepared for how much the beds would be slanting and difficult to sleep in. The floor of the room was very up and down, but there was no leveling platform underneath the bed, so we spent each night sleeping at a most uncomfortable angle, trying not to fall out of bed. The musician in the bar on Saturday night was directly under our room and we could not sleep until 10pm, which with jet lag was not helpful. Very friendly staff and great breakfasts, however.”
