Bait and switch, no hot water in the bathroom, the tv didn’t work, walls were paper thin, and they gave us a room in their BALMORAL GUESTHOUSE instead of the hotel.
When we checked in at the CALEDONIAN HOTEL we were told they actually had another building at the back where our room was. Turned out to be a low quality guest house building, and instead of the spacious double room pictured in their Expedia summary we got a cramped hole. There was no hot water in the bathroom. The tv automatically switched off after 5 minutes. We spent the night listening to snoring coming from next door.
The next morning the manager refused to come out and talk to us.
They attract customers with pictures of a fine solid building and nice rooms, then put you up in what can only be described as one star accommodation. Difficult to think of a clearer example of bait and switch.
Didn’t get any sleep, couldn’t have a shower, but the breakfast was edible.
Not recommended.
