”This hotel offers decent value for money. Room was spacious, bed was ok and the bathroom clean. Plenty of parking available. The area this hotel is in doesn't seem super nice and as far as I know had limited food options especially later in the day. ”

”All the staff (regardless of what time of day you interacted with them) were very pleasant and got along with one another. The longevity of their time working for The Super 8 in Dunbar is a testament to how they’re treated by management. I stayed at the other 2 hotels in Dunbar and the owner has a big turnover of staff. If you like black mold and questionable bookkeeping (ie., billing inflated) don’t reserve at the Super 8. If you like clean rooms and honest billing then the Super 8 is the place...

”Floor cleaning”

”Booked cause they had a pool and paid a higher price but when we arrived the pool had been permanently closed. It would have e been nice to know before booking that there was no pool.”

”The room was great. The outside of the property was a bit run down and the area was so-so. But, that is also practical and expected for the price point. I had a good night's sleep and got back on the road the next day without any issues, so it was a good experience.”

”This is a great place to stop after a long drive. I was exhausted from a very stressful day and difficult week. When I entered the lobby, I was greeted with warmth and knew I made the correct decision stopping here. It was very clean, comfortable and safe.”

”We have been staying at this hotel at least twice a year for 8 years. The staff are always welcoming, kind and helpful. My complaint is that new ownership (we were told this by staff) has taken over and the cost of the rooms went up significantly. The cost has outpaced the return and sadly — we will find another place to stay in the future. This is not a reflection on the staff — they are and have always been great.”

”I was considering the Marriot Towne Center in Charleston WV first bc my family was there. I'm glad I choose Microtel. Wow what a difference! My family was not at all happy at the Marriot and I could definitely see the upscale difference. My room was crisp and clean. The bathroom the same. The amenities in the room the best. ”Only giving two stars because of the staff member who was there when we arrived and the quality of the breakfast. Otherwise, terrible experience. The staff member who checked us in was very helpful, especially when the first set of keys didn't work and again when I had to ask for extra towels (only two bath towels in a two bedroom suite booked for a family of 5). The room was gross — we found a pair of men's boxer shorts in the bathroom, secondary sink in the second suite room was not cleaned....

”Spacious room - immaculate. Bathroom - immaculate. Housekeeping staff was attentive to our needs - excellent. Outdoor seating options-great. Check in staff - wonderful. My only complaints - why can't Marriot offer breakfast included with your stay? It's more expensive than other nearby hotels that offer breakfast. I realize I am paying for better accommodations - but in this economy, it would be nice. The only other complaint is having to pay for parking - though I understand that is not...

They had two receptionists to check everyone in and the li e was 5 deep. Once I got my room assignment, it took me another 15 minutes to catch an elevator because one of the three elevators was out of service. The pool was a disaster.
