”We have been staying at this hotel at least twice a year for 8 years. The staff are always welcoming, kind and helpful. My complaint is that new ownership (we were told this by staff) has taken over and the cost of the rooms went up significantly. The cost has outpaced the return and sadly — we will find another place to stay in the future. This is not a reflection on the staff — they are and have always been great.”

The longevity of their time working for The Super 8 in Dunbar is a testament to how they’re treated by management. I stayed at the other 2 hotels in Dunbar and the owner has a big turnover of staff. If you like black mold and questionable bookkeeping (ie., billing inflated) don’t reserve at the Super 8. If you like clean rooms and honest billing then the Super 8 is the place...

”The breakfast was fabulous. Everything else was disappointing. The hotel was very busy and a bus had dropped off a group of guests. They had two receptionists to check everyone in and the li e was 5 deep. Once I got my room assignment, it took me another 15 minutes to catch an elevator because one of the three elevators was out of service. The pool was a disaster. Dirty, wet towels overflowing, trash everywhere, cloudy water. I know they are renovating to pool soon, but cleaning is still...
