The Clarendon is a clean and beautifully furnished boutique hotel. It is close to dining and shops. We had a beautiful view of the water from our room. The owner is very nice and gave us suggestions for things to do in town. I would rate the Clarendon more than 5 stars if I could. Seriously, the BEST accommodation we’ve had throughout our journey in the UK! This is a hotel you don’t want to miss out on while in Dundee!

An amazing stay at the Clarendon hotel! Our host was very gracious and the amenities were amazing. They even offered special soaps from the Isle of Arren, what a special experience and we look forward to going back. My wife and I loved the Clarendon. Kenny was a wonderful and gracious host, with many good suggestions on things to do and see while in Dundee. The property was wonderful -- spacious, clean, well appointed, and conveniently located. Easy walking distance to Dundee city center, with bars/restaurants/etc., all along the route. Plus, a bus stop right outside the property. A great place to stay, and when next in Dundee, we would book the Clarendon again in a heartbeat!

Loved being able to go in through the back did. Had a great book about the area. The host is very nice. However the coffee maker did not seem to work and there was no place to put the soap in the shower but the floor.

The property was unique - the check-in/check-out process is done online, but communication with the hotel was great. If you didn't have a good internet connection it would have been difficult to navigate. You get a text message with a door code, and Alexa in the room helps with check-out and restaurant suggestions. The hotel was within walking distance of restaurants and bars which was great because parking was either street parking or a parking lot behind the building. The property was very clean, inviting, and comfortable.

My cousin and I stayed here 6 nights, this hotel, owner and staff were wonderful and very very helpful to 2 ladies with physical problems. We would recommend staying here to everyone we know who would be staying in Dundee. Of the 2 weeks vacation, this hotel and staff were the ultimate.

The Clarendon was great! The rooms are very spacious and clean (and there are treats in the room!). It’s in a good location to walk for food, shopping, sightseeing. You have a code for the doors so you don’t need to worry about a key, Kenny checks in via email/text to make sure you’re all good and settled. I’d stay here again without question.

I loved the clarendon because its not a cookie cutter business hotel. It was original, very comfortable and although not in the city centre, its a nice walk into the city. Great views across the water too.

The Clarendon is a unique place with quirky decor and all the comforts of home. The hotel is just a little way outside the town. Parking is on the street but we were able to park right in front. We were sent the room code a day ahead and had no trouble getting in. The room was large and airy and included a kitchenette. The table in the window was set as if we were expected for dinner. As a nice bonus, the host left us a famous Dundee cake as well. I had some discomfort interacting with Alexa rather than a real person and would prefer a coffee maker rather than instant coffee. However, we did get to meet our host by chance and he was quite friendly and helpful. Due to the self-serve aspect of this hotel, no breakfast is provided. However, it was still a lovely stay and I would recommend it if you are traveling to Dundee.

My second stay brilliant place,it’s a beautiful place to stay,I love the area,close to city centre,only a mile or so along Perth road or the riverbank walk. Room is great for one person,I liked the idea of Alexa,which can give you recommendations etc, I met the owner Kenny lovely guy,the milk and Dundee cake a lovely welcoming touch,I highly recommend hotel and I’ll be back again and again thanks Kenny

The place is amazing! Very modern, very well equipped with mini kitchen, excellent shower room. If I had to pick fault I could only say that our room was a bit cold. I didn’t do anything about it but I’m sure if we were to have mentioned to the host they would have helped us with the heating. The host even put an extra bed in when my decided very last minute that she didn’t want to go home with her mum she wanted to stay in our ‘fancy’ room as she put it! Fab service.

We had a lovely two-night stay at the Clarendon. The location is excellent; the river view was beautiful, and the interior of the room was modern, spacious, and comfortable. This would be the place I would stay if I ever came back to Dundee!

This little hotel was a major surprise. It certainly exceeded my expectations. Beautiful touches everywhere, from yummy welcome cake and fresh milk to lovely towels to Alexa opening /closing curtains to the amazing owner to the delicious little restaurant within 5 min walk to a quirky decor to a beautiful river view. Thann you Clarendon!

What a beautiful property! The owners of this property have kept all the character of this old building when modernising it. It is beautifully decorated and has an exceptionally high standard of cleanliness. We stayed in the Freddie room upstairs for two nights and have to say that whilst we were there we did not hear anything during the day or night! (Lovely to see thought has been put into where things go in a room i.e. sockets near mirrors for hairdryers/curlers etc.) Had a great little kitchen area with little hob, fridge, microwave, sink, etc, great for fixing up a little breakfast or meal for yourself. Tea and coffee tray and fresh milk in the fridge. Eating places for breakfast and dinner are within 5 mins walking distance and there is a bus stop right outside the building for a short journey into Dundee city centre which we used without any bother. Main road very busy so recommend using side streets to park. If I have need to stay in Dundee again this will definatley be my first choice of accommodation. A place with character, tastefully decorated, spotless, technology enabled and totally 'a la mode' Loved it!

Absolutely brilliant,comfortable and full of gadgets ,secure door with codes given for main access and room,Alexa controls which is great for me,although you don’t have to use it,spacious comfortable room for one,electric curtains,bathroom very modern,close to city centre about 1/2 hour walk along front,the Dundee cake and milk a nice touch,bedding and towels super soft,. A hot water jug for tea and coffee,no breakfast but I prefer it that way can eat when I like,.I have already booked for summer.
