”On arrival we were informed to dine within 8:30 p.m. and once sit at the restaurant (at approx 7:35 p.m.) we were informed that nothing on the menu, except for what displayed under "sunday roast", which included about 3 starters and 3 mains, would have been served. ”Upon arrival just after 4pm, I was given Room 24 which was on the ground floor, directly adjacent to the dining area without soundproofing but an open doorway. Also in the adjacent rooms were numerous foreign (migrant?) families with children running up and down the short corridor, and plenty of door knocking and chatting loudly in the corridor. I complained to the reception staff (man instead of the young lady who checked me in), he apologised and moved me to another room on 2nd floor, plus...

”Great location less than a mile away from the M5 and off the main road. Wonderful guy on reception who made us feel very welcome. The room was clean and tidy. We decided to go into nearby Thornbury to grab something to eat. The bed was really comfy and we had our buffet breakfast in the Marco Pierre White restaurant in the hotel which kept us full for the drive home.”

”The service of the staff was excellent and car parking is free. However, the plug sockets next to the bed required moving the bedside tables, so if you want to use any electrical devices whilst in bed, you had to use the sockets across the room. The toilet positioned in the room were too close to the wall and the handles to open the windows were loose and call fall out anytime. ”
