”We enjoyed our stay here even though the room was very quirky with a very sloping floor. It was a good size though and well equipped. The four post bed looked good but wasn't that comfortable and quite small especially as my husband is 6ft 4. Best to stick to a different room. Staff were all friendly and helpful and parking outside was just £6 a day. The hotel is well situated within easy reach of bars, restaurants and shops etc”

”Very polite staff, good breakfast included in price, clean, good location and free parking. Only negative thing was bed matress that was leaning to middle heavily and resulted in very sure back after one week stay.”

”The decor was dated but okay. The room a good size, dated but sufficient. However I was not impressed with the room servicing, it had something on the floor that was left there and the shampoo bottle I used was left there as I had left it not replenished either. The bed was not made properly. I understood that there will be less facility due to three star status but did expect better room attendance. I ate in the restaurant and was disappointed. ”Wonderful room in a good location to the Botanical Gardens. Cosy, all amenities including toiletries and lovely fresh pastries with beverages in the morning. Highly recommend. You might get noisy students outside the building in the night though!”

”I don’t usually post negative comments but feel on this occasion it’s require based on the room rate. Our room including bathroom was slightly tired and is in need of a refreshment and lacked your normal toiletries for this level of hotel. The mini fridge compressors was very loud and as such led to both nights of poor sleep, not ideal when you book a weekend away to recover. However, the main building was very beautiful and had a nice lounge to relax in the evening.”
