”This resort is exquisite. It is located directly on the beach but also seems like it is in a jungle or Forest. The property is extremely well maintained and the staff was exceptional. We were given a room that we weren't exactly pleased with and they were able to accommodate our needs and provide us with a different room. We loved being able to walk around the property with our small child. I would come back anytime.”

”Beautiful views, comfortable rooms, daily housekeeping (yay!) and convenient to Patriots Point and downtown Charleston (with some planning by water taxi or hotel shuttle). Weather was unseasonably cold when we were there but this place amazingly offered a well-heated pool and beautiful outdoor hot tub overlooking the harbor. Big points for that. It was very relaxing. Staff was friendly and helpful. Grounds were very nice. Unfortunately they had some sort of mechanical issue with the HVAC system...

”The view of the ocean was the only good thing about my room. The air conditioner didn't cool, no coffe pot,refrigerator didn't work,broke ice machine,stayed on 9th floor one elevator broke also could have had a microwave per request found out last night there. The only good thing about stay was staff Kat and Ernest. If I could have stayed in the lobby would have been amazing very disappointing paying well over 300 a night. I will never go back to the Tides again.”

”Outstanding hotel from which to explore the immense beauty of Charleston. Staff were all so fantastic from helping us check in early, to restaurant recommendations to facilitating our bag storage while we checked out and went to tour College of Charleston (reason for our trip). Rooms were very comfortable - spacious, nice linens, very clean. Hotel design is beautiful. Highly recommend. ”

”Not what I was expecting for downtown Charleston, but it didn't have a great rating to begin with so I shouldn't have been surprised. The furniture was worn and stained. The coffee area could only serve one person at a time, comfortably. The Staff was very nice but not very well schooled on customer service. I don't think a receptionist should stop in the middle of checking me in to answer the phone, except to maybe say "please hold". She then proceeded to give directions to someone while I'm...

”The breakfast wasn’t tasty and they never had coffee ready. The power went out at one point and the staff was just standing around instead of calling someone. They just never put the breakfast out, even when the power came back on. The valet guys were good but everyone else was lacking in the service dept. There was hair in the shower before I got there, and they never replenished the soap or one makeup wipe. ”

”We absolutely loved the unique property and the owner/ hosts couldn’t have been more lovely! And Wrigley the house dog was so sweet. We’ll definitely be booking another trip here soon! ”

”The hotel was great but on the weekend the pool was packed and people left towels on chairs that were not being used. It wasn’t clear if all those people were even staying at the hotel. It would have been nice to enjoy the pool more. The place was clean and the location was excellent. The staff was very nice but the valet attendants were loud and you can hear them right outside the window early in the morning. If it wasn’t for the pool and the noise I would have given them 5 stars. ”

”I enjoyed my stay. I didn’t like that the key card’s deactivated themselves four different times. The staff was friendly, but the front desk lost paperwork that I had already signed. Room was clean and loved the shower. Overall 4/5.”
