”The location is excellent - easy walking in downtown Providence. The staff are great and the rooms are clean and maintained. My only quibble is the "city view" room on the second floor provided not much of a view. Also, there is a small table in the room, but no chair (an uncomfortable bench too awkward to work with) so working in the room was not possible. ”

”I love this Hampton Inn. There is a shuttle that will pick you up from the Amtrak train and take you to the hotel free of charge. In addition, they offer a complimentary breakfast. The rooms are so comfortable. I got the best night's sleep. It is located on 2 blocks from Johnson and Wales University, which was our purpose for going to Providence, RI. I loved the staff. They are very pleasant and helpful. Staying there was like staying with family and friends. I highly recommend this hotel. ”

”They were working on elevators. Only 1 out of 3 were working. The one that was working broke with several people on it including a father, his son, and daughter. They were stuck for 25 mins. There was a picture of a pool on the website, and there was no pool. They advertised a hot breakfast buffet but did not have any. When I went to the front desk to ask a girl with braids gave me attitude like I was screaming when I was perfectly calm. There was smoke i. The elevator from them jackhammering,...

”Our room was great. Staff were helpful but only remote. Bathroom was poor. Several toilets clogged and some showers not working. Kitchen was not clean. Location was great although off site parking is an issue. Good cheap restaurants in area. Nighttime noisy with cars burning out. For a cheap night stay and dealing with hostel conditions this place is good for a short stay with money to enjoy Providence.”

”The room was boiling hot, the sheets and entirety of the room were dirty, the staff was extremely rude and unhelpful. I came back to the building around 10:30 at night and had gotten locked out of the building and with no proper explanation I was told that I couldn’t come back in to at least get my things until check out time in the morning. When I called, the staff member on the phone had accused me of sneaking people in when I was barely ever even in the room, I only used it to store my things...

”On the outside, it looks like a "Standard" hotel. But open the door, and the rooms look great! The bed is awesome and its so clean. ”

”Huge room, never had a room with so much space. The room was clean with all the amenities. The bed was very comfortable. Did not use the pool or gym but looked in and both looked appealing. We were welcomed with fresh baked cookies. The lobby offered 24 hour coffee. Many self serve items to purchase. Breakfast was excellent with several hot choices. Wonderful stay!”
