Matkat – Eggares

Our stay was absolutely amazing! The couple that owns the place are so friendly and gave great recommendations for things to do around Naxos. The breakfast was always so good. One of the owners makes different sweets to have with breakfast each day. I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough, it was fantastic!

We stayed for two nights after spending three days in Santorini and two in Paros. Compared to the overall price level in those islands and in Naxos the value for money could be better. However, nothing was really bad, it just was a little bit on the expensive side. Room was spacious and very clean, breakfast was quite ok, walk to the beach took less than five minutes. We did not stay by the pool, there were only a few sun beds and umbrellas. Wifi was ok in the public areas and a little on and off in the room. Taxi from the Naxos (Chora) harbour took 10 minutes, but you could easily walk to the center in 15 minutes partly using the broadwalk on the beach. We have two little minuses: bartender who was on duty in the morning could have been more polite, and because we paid for the sea view, it would have been nice to see the sea when sitting on the balcony, not just standing (there were some kinds of vine plants obtsructing the view).
