Maalaistalot – El Ocotal

”Las habitaciones estuvieron limpias, ademas de las areas comunes.”

”Very different experience. The yurt was as advertised and very comfortable. Bedding and towels were good quality. The plunge pool was very handy. Breakfast was good and filling. Our only complaint was that there is no drinking water in the room. We were told not to use the tap water and that we would have to purchase water at a store. The closest store is closed so it would have been a cab/Uber safe to get water. We found out that the kitchen had drinking water that we could use.”

”We were blown away by the view. Everyone we interacted with, from the owner (talking through the doorbell camera outside the gate), to the owner's friends who came by, to the staff who made the breakfast were incredibly friendly and helpful. We stayed here for one night just to be closer to the airport since we were coming from Nosara. It was worth the slight detour rather than staying at the airport hotel. Amazing last night and morning, sitting on the balcony watching the birds, the boats, and...

”We only stayed one night as this was a landing spot for us after La Fortuna and before moving on to the south. I booked it mainly for the ability to do laundry and space to move around. We enjoyed soaking our feet in the pool this morning before rushing off to our next destination. The location for different beaches and near great food and shopping was great. The host was very fast and clear in responses.”

”Perfect studio for my wife and I. Check in was easy, communication was great. For the price you couldn’t expect better.”

”The hotel actually started to feel more and more homey when I stayed there. Very helpful staff. The patio is very nice. ”

”The location is incredible, staff were helpful and friendly! For the price and being directly on the beach it was perfect.”

”I had a large amount of money stolen from my room. Theft. Beware.”

”The breakfast staff was great! Showerhead was wacky. TV did not get any movies at all the second night. Other than that, great location, only 5 minutes from beach.”

”Gran ubicación. Y muy lindo hotel.”

”Go here! We have a toddler and wanted a treat— this place delivered! It was so clean, beds were so comfortable, the garden is gorgeous and so well maintained. The staff was exceptional! This was perfect with a toddler - we could go between beach and pool and have all of our food made for us. The staff was so kind to our children We wish we didn’t have to leave!”

”Very friendly staff. They arrenged us a room from neighbour Hotel for second night because there was some mistake and they were overbooked.”

”This trip was a quick four day trip to Costa Rica. I just wanted a clean room on the beach. It was very economically priced. The room was clean and spacious. This is not the normal resort or hotel I would stay in but it was excellent for what I was looking for on this trip. I usually stay at nicer much more expensive, all inclusive resorts where its a mile to the food, or beach. This one is right on the beach. About a 15 minute walk or $4 Uber ride to town. That allowed for us to sample...

”Amazing host!”
