”Very cute cottage with all the necessities! Very clean”

”This is a cute place to stay but a bit dated. It is dog friendly and it was lovely to see so many furry friends enjoying a trip! We stayed in a building round the back which had some quirky wallpaper but needed an upgrade. Interesting rules around breakfast which were explained in terrifying detail by staff who had been well briefed - "You have 30 minutes from when you enter until you must leave, and you can have one hot drink refill". That was a bit much, but we complied!”

”Beautiful hotel, second time staying for one night, breakfast included, evening meal have to book separately which was easy to do. Everything about this hotel, location, availability of rooms, staff and food was truly amazing. We will be booking again, probably near Christmas time.”

”Small room but perfect for what we needed for one stay following a trip to watch footie in Burnley. The lady on breakfast service was very kind and friendly and we all enjoyed the breakfast - would stay again and great we could bring the dog too”

”Room 1 is extremely small, but was spotless and the bed extremely comfortable. There were too few staff. Service at dinner and the bar was very slow. Dinner wasn't as hot as it should have been. There was too much food on a small plate, I had to hunt under the chicken for my vegetables! Overall, it's quite expensive for food that although was delicious it wasn't hot and not served in a timely manner.”

”Great staff friendly and helpful, nice relaxing atmosphere, very nice breakfast, only two very small suggestions would be nice to have longlife milk sachets or similar in the room save having to go down stairs and ask for milk,and could do with a shelf in the shower no where to put shampoo ect when showering”

”Great welcome. Booked two rooms at the same price and one was clearly more superior. Night porter was extra helpful Breakfast was excellent.”

”Simply put, do not stay here at any price. It is filthy. No hot water. Bathroom sink had only a cold tap. Toothpaste all over sink, tap and glass shelf. Dirty, stained, filthy carpets. Bony mattresses. Bathroom dirty. No one to check out. Hotel not manned. So bad, I would not risk eating Breakfast. Seriously concerned about bed bugs but if I've brought them home from The Wool Merchant, I will 100% take legal action against the owners.”

”Check in was not the best. The MOS clearly didnt want to be there. Didnt tell us about the only lift. The room was as far away from the reception in a very much less than full hoyel. We were 'treated' to the noise of the by-pass all night. The hotel was in a poor state of repair, I pointed out torn carpet to a MOS who laughed and went into an office. The ceiling over the staircase had a large crack across it. The breakfast was the highlight of the stay with friendly staff and a good selection...

”Food was great and bar was well kept. Bed was comfy so comfortable in fact I overslept! Such a good find, not overly pretentious just good quality, helpful staff and good food. Perfect for a business stop over. WiFi was also reliable.”
