”Fine food not as special as it is anounced, But a bit pricey and small portions. Also the breakfast is a bit less. Service was polite but a bit cold and distance.”

The inn is a lovely, well-presented property and it is clear that considerable care has gone into maintaining high standards. However, we felt that the overall experience did not quite match our expectations of a five-star stay.
The welcome was somewhat formal, and we would have appreciated a little more warmth and friendliness. There are also house rules which, while understandable, felt rather strict and perhaps took away...
”The Pearle Oban is right in the heart of the city...beautiful view overlooking the water. Accessible to all sights by walking and plenty of restaurants in the area.
I am not sure why there is no outlet in the bathrooms; it does make it difficult to blow dry your hair...lol
The staff was fabulous; held our luggage for a day while we took an overnight trip to Isle of Mull. Great breakfast spread that was included. Loved our stay in Scotland!”
”Lovely setting. Folks who have difficulty walking would have major trouble here. I was disappointed in some of the food. I was very disappointed that we could not access the pool when we wanted to. Great for the community kids, but definitely should not be listed as a hotel amenity.”
”Another fantastic stay at Aspen lodge where nothing is too much trouble and you are served amazing breakfasts. Stayed for a week and we literally had a different breakfast daily. You can eat indoors or outdoors too here.
We came back for the views and location, the food and the peace and most of all the warmth and kindness and local knowledge of our host

”Nice pass-thru accommodation for one night with amazing views. The room was very small for 2 adults 2 small kids but we managed to fit - also the road was surprisingly close and created some noise & shaking during the night. ”
”Spent one night at the hotel. It is located by a lake and had a nice view. The room was OK size, with a nice and clean bathroom. Spent the evening at the hotel bar, where they have an amazing collection of whisky. The bar area is cozy with a fireplace, books and boardgames. The breakfast buffet was tasty and staff friendly and helpful :) ”
