”We can't understand how this hotel has a 5 star rating. We travel several weeks a year around the world and I've relied on reviews until now, but... The main pool is full of screaming children, so if you're an adult without children, it's not for you. The adult pool was small and secluded with no amenities. The only restaurant in the hotel is a bar by the main pool, which honestly can't be called a restaurant. The "Deluxe studios" are in separate 3-story buildings with dingy and untidy hallways....

”We really enjoyed our stay in the in-law unit at this house in Poipu, even though we had assumed we had the place to ourselves. The neighborhood location was perfect (walking distance to multiple beaches & restaurants, as well as a pool) and the bed was comfortable. It’s very affordable for the area and the extra items (towels, beach chairs, umbrella, random snorkel gear) were super handy. It was easy to communicate with our host and he was very flexible on timing.”

”Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at this condo. The location was great, and the unit was comfortable. The only downside was the refrigerator. The temporary fridge was quite small, and we were told it would be replaced. However, during our stay, no one contacted us or arranged for the replacement. We wish the management had addressed the refrigerator issue sooner, as it would have made our stay even more enjoyable. Other than that, we had a wonderful experienced.”

”What a great spot if you’re staying on the South end. The condo is spacious, has a fabulous lanai, a well stocked kitchen, and a comfy bed. Just a short walk to Poipu beach for sunrise and sunset walks and turtle and seal viewing. Also Maha’ulepu trail is quite close for a great scenic hike. The hosts were super attentive and helpful and left some welcome snacks which was a nice touch. While there is no AC, the condo is on an upper floor and gets plenty of breezes to keep it cool.”

”We enjoyed our stay in Kauai at the Kiahuna Plantation Resort. The room was nice and clean and the AC was crucial. The Kiahuna beach was very nice and the amenities onsite were good. We could partially see the ocean from our room but we could not hear it. We did not use the swimming pool or gym facilities because they were a bit of a walk across the street but the nieghborhood was really great. The lanai was awesome but the AC outlet is on the lanai with you and was exhausting hot air pulled out...

”Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely stay here again. One thing to be aware of before booking is that this condo does not have air conditioning. That was my oversight when booking, but I didn’t realize the evenings would get warm enough to make sleeping uncomfortable. Because the unit is on the ground floor, we also weren’t comfortable leaving the windows and doors open overnight. The location is excellent. ”The pictures on site about display does not do it justice. It is simply spectacular. A huge living room and a balcony overlooking the ocean was the cherry on top. The most comfortable bed slept in. Everything was just perfect. Angel our host was truly an angel with the booking check-in and check out. The gardens, a pleasure and the café is a must. A downside I would say is needing to drive to the pool but once we got there, it was again amazing. The pool with its waterfall, hot tub and cold...
