”Lovely rooms geat value for money. Food was lovely. Bar staff could have been better, didnt have any prosecco in fridge and didbt seem to want to use initiative to solve the issue with ice bucket and ice also told us we could finish our drinks outside at end of night - weird. ”

”This is a wonderful and quirky boutique hotel. We stayed in room 1 in no. 7 with the bath. The room was clean and spacious. We loved the addition of the bath, which is so deep that it was very easy to use without causing a mess (as someone complained about before). Breakfast was refreshed every day and consisted of oats, fruit, cereals and cakes. We found a parking spot a few minutes walk away for the first 2 nights and a 10 minute walk away on the 3rd night so this was a non-issue. We liked the...

Das Hotel und Pub sind urig aber sehr gepflegt, die Zimmer sind sehr in die Jahre gekommen, wobei die wahrscheinlich den Charme ausmacht. Das Frühstück war seht lecker 😋 von richtig englisches Frühstück bis einfaches Toast mit Marmelade. Die Bar im Pub ist sehenswert, wir hatten das Glück einen Abend mit Live-Musik zu verbringen. ”Beautiful property, gorgeous rooms but it’s the extra touches like free wellies to use when it’s muddy, free popcorn, drinks and snacks in the corridors, wine hour, free homemade biscuits etc that make it even more special. The grounds are gorgeous and we loved the serene spa space we had almost to ourselves. Staff also couldn’t be more helpful. Will be back in summer to try the outdoor pool ”

”There is parking behind the waitrose and staff walked us there after their shift had ended to ensure we understood the parking App since tomorrow is the Farmers Market on High Street and we would have to move the vehicle early. Now it’s all sorted and paid in advance. Of course it’s an older hotel and everything is crooked and settled, but you should come here for that eclectic experience, as we did. I just miss the old mural that was painted in the pub before, replaced by a more modern map. ”
