The location was in close proximity to 3 quaint New England small towns whose downtowns had many restaurants and local shops to enjoy-Great Barrington (GB Eats for breakfast), Stockbridge (best shopping) and Lenox (exceptional dinner at Frankie’s Italian). The house looked updated on the outside but inside looked like early 1900s with a hint of Victorian influence. My only caution is for anyone with mobility issues as all 3 bedrooms and the only (very small)...

”From beginning to end, could not have dreamed of a better island getaway, in the Berkshire’s none-the -less. Bill was a wonderful host. Very friendly, responsive and helpful. Super welcoming. The home was simple, quaint, and super cozy. Perfect for a nice long relaxing weekend for both the dogs and people. The views from the sun room were lovely. The deck/patio area had a beautiful view of the water. The fire pit was a nice perk in the evening. Surrounded by water, the place felt so private....

”The Turning Point stay was excellent in every respect. We had a large group (11) and all had great sleeping locations, some with ensuite bathrooms, all in short distance to them. Kitchen was awesome for large group cooking and service. Nothing lacking! Location great for Great Barrington attractions, Guthrie Center, Breweries, food markets, Appalachian Trail hiking a 5 minute drive. Host Mike is very welcoming and responsive to any questions. We would definitely come to stay again!”

”Our family does an annual Early Thanksgiving (easier travel/better weather!) and we try to book a stay that provides the best accommodations for all, from a 2-year old to over-80's. The Chalet was just perfect, awesome kitchen for our Master Chef and the dining room is beautiful. Our family equestrians had a great time with the horses, the hot tub was a hit, spent lots of time on the huge deck enjoying the beautiful fall weekend. Highly recommend a stay for family get-togethers of any kind!”

”Wonderful stay at this property!! We really enjoyed the beautiful house, pool and grounds. We did have an issue with the fire pit however the house manager responded very quickly. The problem was solved and the equipment was in working order the same day. The location was close to town and two large supermarkets. We hope to return again to this beautiful property! ”I loved staying in this house for a month. The large screened porch was my favorite place to sit in the morning with a good cup of coffee and a book. Extremely well equipped with kitchenware, it was a joy to cook, there was plenty of space for me and my guests, and I enjoyed the proximity to Great Barrington restaurants and stores and Lake Mansfield. Didier was always responsive and helpful.”

”We had a wonderful time together. We really enjoyed the peaceful quiet surroundings, the large spacious deck, the beautiful view over the lake at sunset. The kids had a great time kayaking on the lake and sitting by the fire pit after dark. The pool air \ hockey table was a big hit as well.
