”Dianne went out of her way to be helpful at all steps of our stay. Great parking facilities, great shower, comfy bed. Everything needed was provided and well thought through. We were able to arrange to collect the keys early as we were due at a wedding and Dianne went out of her way to help us arrange a taxi booking to and from the venue nearby.
Breakfast was varied and plentiful.”

”I can highly recommend the Pheasant. The staff were excellent, the rooms were small but very well appointed, dinner menu was interesting and varied, breakfast was great. Location was perfect for Kielder Reservoir and in the middle of beautiful Northumberland countryside”

”Some people were born to host. Maurice & Laureen have created a very special B&B experience for anyone lucky enough to stay. It feels more like a boutique 5* hotel with attention to detail and luxury furnishings. The highlight of my stay was the beautiful breakfast of refreshing creamy pot with fruit compote, followed by muffin with perfectly poached eggs, spinach, homemade hollandaise sauce, chives and roast tomatoes. ”Room was fine, tea and coffee wasn't very nice and no complementary biscuits. No magnifying mirror in the bathroom. States Brompton however 8 miles away. Bed was really uncomfortable. Evening meal was nice, 10% surcharge on you bill! Wine expenses! Breakfast was so so. Waited a long time for someone to come to the checkin fest on arrival and departure. Probably would try an alternative hotel ”

”While we were only there for one night it was a treat to be able to have gotten one of the few rooms within the castle itself. The staff were very attentive and helpful. The food was delicious and they were very accommodating to my husband's dietary limitations. The only thing they forgot was having my bear knight and chocolates ready in my room but that's just a minor thing and I did ask for it just the day before so not a big deal once I asked.”

”I had a wonderful stay at Gretna Green Hotel. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring the local area. The breakfast was excellent, and the overall atmosphere was warm and relaxing. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Gretna Green and would happily stay here again.”
