Everything we needed for self catering was provided. The only thing we would have liked was a mattress topper as my wife and I found the bed a little firm, but that is personal preference. ”3 night stay over Easter. Pub was clean and comfortable although bed mattress was very firm which meant disturbed sleep for stay. Owners very welcoming. Breakfast was 8-9am which I felt was a little early as we usually like to have a lazy wake up without having to have alarm on so wasnt as relaxing as we would have liked. ”The welcome at reception was friendly and helpful. Our room was a decent size and dog friendly. Hotel is like a rabbit warren but well sign posted. Comfortable bed and efficient shower, decor was a bit tired and the lift was an old style metal gate which relied on other customers closing the gate after use so others could use it. Breakfast was served in a light and roomy restaurant, however as we had our dog with us we had to sit in the bar ( this was being repaired with scaffolding and noisy...

”Checking was swift and efficient. Our room was fine - very good bed, iron & ironing board, good bathroom wit powerful shower and Elemis toiletries. The spa and pools are extensive - several small pools and numerous saunas and steam room. Breakfast menu was extensive though I felt the quality of the hot breakfast didn’t live up to the luxury badge of the hotel”
