NRG, Peaceful cabin on 4 acres! 7 min to the bridge & 15 min to Hawks Nest Park

The bungalow is a recently renovated single story home tucked back at the back of a private drive. Guests have access to private woods, a stream, a field, fire pit, charcoal grill, two decks, and a covered front porch. There are 4 bedrooms that can comfortably sleep up to 10 guests. A brand new addition is an amazing outdoor shower with hot water and with a view of the woods. If traveling with children we do have a pack n play, high chair, child friendly cups/plates, and baby bathtub, electric outlet plugs available. We welcome pets as long as it is communicated in advanced. We have Wifi available and the cell service in our area is good.

We are located right outside of the city limits of Fayetteville on Route 16. A 7 minute drive to the center of Fayetteville, a 10 minute drive to the NRG bridge/National Park entrance, 16 minutes to Hawks Nest State park, and 15 minutes from Cathedral Falls. Close to Grandview and Sandstone Parks.

Nice house in a private location with large yard for dogs to play off leash. The house was stocked with everything needed. Beds were comfy and living room couches as well. Easy drive to nearby attractions. Would consider this rental again when visiting the area.

Rating: Our stay at this property was overall very enjoyable. The house was charming, comfortable, and nicely secluded, providing a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The surrounding area was beautiful, and the weather during our visit was perfect — it really enhanced the experience.The town itself was incredibly unique and full of character. We especially enjoyed visiting Pies & Pints and the Cathedral Café — both had great drinks, friendly service, and some cute little gifts that made for perfect souvenirs.That said, we did experience some communication challenges with the property owner. There was a bee issue near the grilling area that prevented us from using that part of the property, and despite multiple attempts to contact the owner regarding this and a few questions about garbage disposal, we did not receive a response.Aside from those issues, we truly enjoyed our time and appreciated the serene setting, beautiful weather, and distinctive charm of the town. With more responsive communication from the property management, this could easily be an exceptional stay.

My wife and I needed a place to stay for her family reunion. This place was very close and conveniently located to her family. The home on the inside was clean and well kept. The outside could have used some upkeep. There wete spiderwebs at the front door. The grass could have been better taken care of and there were rat droppings on the front porch.

Don’t Stay Here!

I booked this property on July 19th to stay there August 7-9th. I got the access information sent to me 3 days before we were to stay there. Then on the day of, 5 hours before our check in, I received an email saying our reservation was cancelled because THEY double booked!! All they said was they were sorry. Really?? You’re “sorry”. We flew in from out of state and on our way to stay at a place I booked a month ago and they send me an email the day of to cancel. I have never had this happen to me before. If you like to gamble, then take your chances. But the communication with this host was TERRIBLE!! I had emailed them asking about the area the week before and got no response. The ONLY communication I received from them was a cancellation and a pathetic sorry.

Cute House

Very cute house. My kids loved the kid rooms and toys. Easy to find the house with detailed driving instructions. Very quiet area, quick access to NRG and surrounding areas. The grass did need to be cut but otherwise great outdoor space.

Wonderful home in quiet location

We loved this home! It felt like home away from home! Lovely property in very quiet area. We saw deer multiple times a day! It's a short drive from all things New River Gorge. Well stocked kitchen, comfy beds, great shower. One of my favorite homes we've stayed in.

Fantastic location!

We loved the location of this house. The creek that ran along the property was an added scenic bonus. The house was close to NRG and Hawks Nest as well as several waterfall hikes. The house was well stocked with about anything you could need. We did have to contact the owners while we were there and the communication was great. You do have to walk through one kids bedroom to get to the other, which wasn’t a problem for us but might matter for some. We had a great time and would return.

I wouldn't recommend this house for more than 6 people honestly. You have to walk through one bedroom to get to the other, and with teen boys and girls that was awkward. It seems like a house that keeps getting updated cosmetically but not structurally, and could use some TLC. Good location. Base price is far from what you end up paying.

We enjoyed the property due to its location close to the National Park and hiking. I wish the weather would have cooperated so we could have actually enjoyed the outdoor areas of the property. The house is down a long lane and is an older house. I wish I took note of that when booking but our trip was planned last minute. Rooms are small and many areas need updating and a good cleaning. Others mentioned it but I had hoped they were wrong.

Nice base for hiking .

Plenty of room to relax after hiking all day. Missed the driveway the first time, the property is tucked back in the woods. We saw deer two mornings by the stream outside. Nice place.

Great location!

Great location and home worked well for us! Very easy drive to the NRG bridge and visitor center and downtown Fayetteville. Could probably use a deep clean at the end of the season, but we were comfortable for our stay!
