”We spotted the village from the road above, fishing village down a steep road, cobblestones and cottages. Gorgeous 300 year old pub on the harbour, great atmosphere, comfy bed and room, breakfast the next day was fresh and plentiful and offered with love and care. Really enjoyed it, 20 steos from the harbour so pretty to walk around.”

When I booked seven months in advance I had requested a room on the 2nd floor, partly as there is no lift, however our room allocated was on the 3rd floor with no option to change. At the time of our stay in August 2023 there is NO wifi available.”

”Stephan and Gwen were delightful hosts and the house was large, comfortable, clean and a beautiful view. The hotel in town had really great food. Make sure you have reservations though. They did help us by letting us do take away when we didn’t. The area had so many great things to see. Really close to Stonehaven (our host told us about it) and you must see Dunnottar Castle located just a short drive from here. Had some gifts and fresh milk in the fridge on our arrival. The host lives next door...

”This B&B is close to main network and easy to find. Absolutely spotless room and the most comfortable bed ever! Very accommodating hostess who cooked me a delicious evening meal and a massive well cooked breakfast, despite my dietary needs (please let her know before you stay and nothing is too much trouble!) I would highly recommend this place for solo travelers as I felt very safe and welcome here. Thank you for a lovely stay.”
