”We stayed in Ke-lan-tan house for 4 days and it was just awesome! Everyone in the reception were amazing, we even checked in at 7 am and it was no problem. Staff was also helpful with my surprise for my girlfriend :) the location is nice, just out of the center and little over 30min walk from example penang ferry pier. Only disadvantage is that the walls and the roof at downstairs are made of "paper" so you here every snorring and even baby steps from other rooms.. Beautiful decoration in the...

”Siistit huoneet ja yleiset tilat. Auttavainen ja hyvä henkilökunta. Palvelua sai auliisti vaikkakin tyypilliseen tapaan varianssia sovittuun hieman on. Asiat kuitenkin yritetään tehdä parhain päin. Ilmastoidut huoneet ovat rustiikkiset eivätkä sisällä TV:tä saati radiota. Viihde on haettava muualta. Hotellissa ei palveluita, niitä on ympärillä runsaasti. Kilometrin säteellä kymmeniä kauppoja ja ruokapaikkoja, joista sai erinomaista ruokaa. Aamupalaa saa yhdeksästä alkaen lähikahviloista...

” I came to Penang to register my daughter into USM. It’s a great choice. It’s near to USM around 15mins. Car can park inside hotel with gates for FREE. speedmart 100meter, waking distance for local food. Becareful they lock the gate at 12midnight for security .”

”A beautiful restored shophouse. Very welcoming staff and very clean common areas. The rooms can get a bit warm in the afternoon as part of the roof is covered in zinc and conducts heat directly into the room. Bed is located in the attic which can be a slight inconvenience but it adds to the overall charm of the place. Toilets are small and poky but still good enough for me. For the price, I would still recommend this place for those seeking something out of the ordinary. ”

”Had an excellent stay at Roomies! The rooms are very nice, although you can't really keep your curtains open because of the walk way right next to the window. The hotel is situated well, just a short walk to the beach, and one of the best restaurants in the area (Andrews Kampung) is right across the hallway. The staff is really lovely and would help us with all our inquiries! If you're a light sleeper bring earplugs since the walls are quite thin, but otherwise I can definitely recommend this...

”The room was super warm and humid. The windows couldn't shut fully and had incects coming in. The opposite of the property have chickens and dogs that will make noise super early in the morning. There were some lion dance practices till late at night. The room have no poles/hooks to hang stuff. Only have a small row of hooks behind the door. The property wall had tissue paper stuffed in it and multiple defects on the wall. The property has very noisy flooring, I can hear everyone walking...

”Was deffo a budget place- basic box room with two beds, was comfy enough for a short stay. Air con worked well. Bathroom small but effective. Overall a perfect place to be used just for sleeping rather than if you're looking for somewhere luxury. Staff were absolutely lovely and friendly, as well as very accomodating and helpful.”

”Good for family stay as can stay up to 6 to 7pax. Value for money and just right behind Gurney Plaza.”
