”I really like the people that run it ...you can have a laugh and a joke and their professional.
I love the quirky old fashioned styling but it's done in a modern way.
The menu seemed basic but the quality of the food was fantastic everybody should try the prawns starter !!!
Two dislikes
Coffee machine in room too small difficult to use.
The noise of extractor fans outside the windows was a constant drone but okay if you're used to noise and not from the quiet countryside.

”Because we had train delays we were late booking in.Not a problem though The friendly receptionist was very welcoming. The bed was huge and after a very stressful day we had agood nights sleep in the most comfortable bed. Checkout was not until 12 noon so we had time for a quick visit to the city centre which is about a 5 minutes walk away The train station is just across the road so this is a very convenient place to stay”

”This was a great spot to stay on our first night in Exeter! It's right in the center of town so you're really close to everything. There's also a pub downstairs/next door which was convenient. We had a minor plumbing issue the first night, but the hotel was able to take care of it. I would stay here again!”

”We stayed in the garden suite. It was lovely. My only criticism would be that one of the legs on the futon in the living room area was broken. Our Daughter said the bed in the smaller bedroom wasn't very comfortable so we used spare duvets and a blanket to make it more comfortable. The small garden area was ideal for our dogs to be able to give them some space to toilet etc. The food in the pub was very nice, my only criticism would be the lack of vegetarian options. Overall we enjoyed our stay....
”Great pub with rooms with everything we needed. If you are lucky, as we were, you will get magnificent views over the Teign estuary. We didn't get to eat with them in the evening but two locals informed us it was their go to place for an evening meal.”
