➕Nice, pieceful and clean room. ➕Delicious breakfast in a beautiful setting. ➖The pool area is a bit cramped and could do with a refresh. The beach is crowded and you have to pay 50 € for beach chair for a day as hotel quest paying more than 600 € for the room /night! ➖The staff was not helpful at all with renting a car. ➖Majority of the staff can’t (or won’t?) serve quests in English (only French) which is almost unbeliable in Europe today!

As other have pointed out this is an older Belle Époque hotel which has lots of fading charm and some real character. It’s set back from the busy seafront in a large tropical garden - we had a sea facing room on an upper floor so the view of the sea and coast as well as the gardens was beautiful. The room was spotless, but small (that may just be the level of room we booked however). Some parts of the hotel could do with some tlc but for the location - a minute or two’s walk from the beach - it was good value. The pool is medium sized and was busy with families, but there seemed to be room for everyone and it was friendly (it was August, so the whole of the Côte d’Azur is super busy!). The staff at the hotel were very helpful and breakfast on the terrace was decent. We didn’t eat dinner at the hotel as there is a wide choice of dining options on the seafront and the road just back from the beach - at all levels and prices. There is a huge parking area by the back of the hotel and a lift from that level, so it was easy to unload and load up.
