”Staying at Chateau Tivoli was like stepping into a beautifully preserved piece of history. This Victorian-era mansion offers a rare blend of elegance, charm, and warmth.
The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making us feel like honored guests in a private home. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the stately double parlor with wine and cheese, and the breakfast was both delicious and thoughtfully presented.
Chateau Tivoli is a must-stay. We can’t wait to return!”
”We loved staying at this charming hotel! The decor was lovely; the front desk staff was exceptional - friendly, helpful, and personable; location was great - we walked everywhere (or took a Lyft or trolly.)
Our only complaint is that the pull-out bed was uncomfortable, but once we moved the mattress to the floor, it was better. ”
”I had issues (twice...) with the codes not working when trying to enter my room which made me feel unsafe especially when this happened midnight. Reception is not open after 10pm so I received help via Whatsapp and staff was helpful.
Other things that lower my rating were the metal beds that made a lot of noise. Also the whole floor only had 2 showers working. I have never had to wait to shower in hostel before. I wish toilets had more hooks to put towels/clothes in and rooms had mirrors....
”They had all our amenities and wants covered, free street parking on the weekends (3 hours max during the day on weekdays), and with the wonderful buffet breakfast and happy hour open bar/ food it was really a good deal. Room service was available 24/7 and was a great price. Best stay ever for us in the city.”
”Bed was adequate but splendid when I first arrived. Hamburger joint sharing the property has a good value and I ate there daily in order to be well fed for the Dead and Co shows. The staff are all very nice and helpful and really care that you’re happy. Basic room. Would recommend. ”

Room was in great condition and clean. Bed was perfect with two set of pillows (soft & firm).
Location was good, Nob hill cable car end station is just around the corner. However, for people in good condition it takes approx 30-40 minutes to walk to Fisherman’s Wharf.
We were very happy to our two nights staying in this hotel.”
