”The majestic hotel is so beautiful! It was clean, safe, and had the lux vibes you want on vacation. I love historic hotels. If you are a fan of Victorian decor and want to experience historic San Francisco architecture this place is for you. First or all, San Francisco neighborhoods can be hit or miss. ”So this place has a certain charm about it. If you think “music” or “music industry” this place screams it. I can’t begin to rave about the guys at the front desk enough. They are AWESOME! They offered tons of information, and insight to the neighborhood.”

”Location, staff, and decor are great. It is a little dated but you gotta appreciate the dedication to Victorian charm. The rooms and also very spacious. Unfortunately, there was some trash left on the floor of our room when we checked in and the bathroom sink drain was clogged. Comfy beds, though! ”

”I had issues (twice...) with the codes not working when trying to enter my room which made me feel unsafe especially when this happened midnight. Reception is not open after 10pm so I received help via Whatsapp and staff was helpful. Other things that lower my rating were the metal beds that made a lot of noise. Also the whole floor only had 2 showers working. I have never had to wait to shower in hostel before. I wish toilets had more hooks to put towels/clothes in and rooms had mirrors....

”Overall just fine, but probably not as modern or well-appointed as other Kimpton properties in other cities I’ve stayed at in the past. Balcony was not cleaned before we arrived, a few roaches (spent joints, not insects) and a bell (odd, like from a Christmas decoration). TV entertainment system was dated and the room didn’t make great use of space.”

”Swimmers beware: I booked this stay specifically because of the lap pool. However, the pool is closed without an expected re-open date. The pool is still advertised everywhere. The hotel was otherwise fine, and I appreciated the included breakfast and the view from the restaurant area.”

”Great decor, close to the concert venue our son was going to. Parking was a bit difficult so we had to circle around a few times until the front desk guy came out and explained it was confusing. We appreciated him taking time off to explain how to find public parking since their parking lot was full. ”

”Great spot, Ed at the front desk was flexible, helpful, and personable—and allowed us to both check in early and check out late. There's an elevator, which we didn't expect (but appreciated). Fun neighborhood, less than 10 mins to the gorgeous views at Dolores Park, multiple excellent espressos and coffee within 10 mins, brunch at the Wooden Spoon down the street was fantastic. Basic amenities but really cute retro spot. Highly recommend.”
