”No a/c in rooms, but fan provided. No screens on windows. History video was wonderful. Buffet breakfast was okay. Ran out of fresh fruit salad. Dinner okay, service rushed. Grounds lovely. Reception and management staff friendly and helpful. Our room needed updating. Bed not a king, as represented. Furnishings tired. Whole hotel needs updating. Bath tub too narrow and hot/cold shower knobs in a bad location. Bathroom window would not open.”

”Lovely comfortable and clean rooms. The breakfast was great and the staff were all really friendly, informative and welcoming. Feel it is a little overpriced but Pitlochry itself is pretty pricey. It is a steep walk back up the hill from Pitlochry if you have walking difficulties. We would probably stay again though. ”

”Absolutely ideal place to stay for a trip to Pitlochry and the beautiful surrounding areas. Only an easy, 3 minute drive to get to the town centre, yet removed enough from the busy little town to be able to unwind in the quiet on an evening. The lodge itself is lovely, super cosy and clean, and the hot tub was one of the nicest I've ever been in. Highly recommended!”

”The location was fabulous and the garden was a joy. The house was okay but would have benefited from the owners having been less defensive and having acted upon issues already raised by previous reviewers e.g. the mattresses/pillows were very uncomfortable, the tap in the upstairs toilet is very stiff and difficult to turn on or regulate the temperature, especially cold (even the caretaker couldn't sort out).
