”The hotel has very good and comfortable amenities. Unfortunately our aircon was broken but they have left a fan in the room, quite inconvenient in the heatwave but good service. Very lovely place to stay.”

”Good for a short stay, very basic pub accomodation. Located practically in the middle of nowhere and there's no possibility to go for a walk or a run in the evening. The pub downstairs is good, with reasonably priced food and drinks. Friendly staff. Stayed at the room 12 which at the time of my stay didnd't have any shower! This is unacceptable even temporarily, such room should not be offered at all.”

”if you're looking for a full on Spa Hotel this is not it, the pool is small and the sauna and steam rooms are tiny and there are chairs around the pool but no loungers due to no space. That said I enjoyed those things a lot and at one point had it all to myself. The accommodation is in either the very grand old building or the travel inn style block at the back, one side looks out onto lovely countryside the other the car park. ”Nice comfy bed in a big room. There was a fan supplied (a necessity during the heatwave especially during the night). Staff were always polite and helpful. Breakfast was different every day ( I think it depended on who cooked it) but was nice - it’s just a pity ham and cheese and different fruit were not offered but as I said breakfast was nice.”

”The historic building is simply beautiful, very charming, and well-restored. The room was spacious, and the bathroom was well-equipped. The service in the restaurant was very friendly but extremely slow. The food was rather mediocre. Breakfast was actually quite poor. There was barely a tablespoon of yogurt with the granola, and the toast was cold and hard like rusk. The location itself is beautiful.”

”I have stayed in many hotels but this was one of the best. The staff were very friendly and accommodating the hotel rooms here large and nicely decorated. The gardens provided a perfect setting for a late evening drink and winding down after a busy day. Yes there are probably, better hotels out there but for our stay this was a 5 Star event.”

The staff kindly offered to accommodate us in a nearby Airbnb, but we were not comfortable staying away from the hotel. As a result, the four of us shared the one available room. We appreciate that the staff provided a credit to compensate for the inconvenience in place of the meal arrangement, and we are grateful for their assistance.”
