”Very good breakfast and great service from the staff. Excellent view from any room either the beach, the river or towards the shops/amusements. Plenty of parking spaces in front of the hotel”

”We were greeted by very helpful & friendly staff and from the outside the hotel looked great. Sadly the decor inside the property left a to be desired with peeling paint work and thread bare carpets on the stail ways. Not the most encouraging introduction. The shower gel container was empty on arrival and the room was incorrectly made up on one occasion, set for single despite having been correctly attended to previously for us.”

”Radiator not working so room was cold, tap on bath rattling and water spurting out took ages to fill bath. Shared room with a dozen ladybirds..canteen downstairs never open. Unlocked and unsafe left luggage hall.i came fownstairs a few times about radiator in the night and noonf on reception rang number on desk but it wasnt regonised. Reception not manned at all times.. the room was big and lovely and location good.”

”Fantastic hotel. Our room was lovely & clean. Food in the hotel was really nice & the Sunday roast was amazing. Staff are friendly & helpful, will definitely stay here again.”

”Nice room, Comfortable bed. Shower very small. Lovely sea view from bedroom. Room on 2nd floor, no lift, so not suitable forthose with mobility issues. Breakfast superb. Staff fantastic.”

”The property was so smelly that we had to hold our breaths to reach to our room. Dirty and smelly throughout. Empty handwash and body shower or shampoo. Dirty linens as well. ”

”We were given room 4, apparently it has an Infamous reputation as the lad who looks after the hotel called a few hours before check-in to ask if we wanted to find alternative accommodation due to the amount of complaints they have about this room. Unfortunately Hotels.com were not especially helpful in changing our booking and we were about to set off so opted to just keep the room. It is at the top of the hotel, 4 flight of stairs up. There is no bathroom, you have to share the one on the 2nd...

”Room spacious, condiments & bedding dirty, shower head kept coming off, needed extra pillows, bed was really low and showed dirty marks on sheets etc, couldn’t get a breakfast, staff were rude when asked for more pillows etc and asking why questions. ”

”Very clean and tidy room, a bit of a sea view and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Don't hesitate to call them any problems or questions they are very happy to help. Definitely be booking to stay there again very soon. An absolute pleasure to spend a couple of nights there. Thank you to the owner and their staff for making me feel comfortable and welcome.”
