”Too many problems with this hotel to list. AC in first room did not work. Our daughters room had a toilet that wouldn't flush. Elevators were okay when working, but out of service at times. We didn't have comforters in our room until the third night. The room we had was very noisy because it faced the street. There is no gym here. The pool is small but refreshing. The breakfast was the sole bright spot. There was a nice variety of foods and all stocked well.”

” This hotel had many wonderful reviews, which is why my boyfriend and I decided to stay here. Unfortunately, our experience was not what we expected. When we first entered the room, we immediately noticed several issues. The air conditioner was leaking water onto the floor, the restroom had no fan, and there were no small towels for bathing. "We had luxury room with sea view on 23rd floor and the view was truly magnificient. Room was a bit outdated, but the hotel is under renovation. Rio Othon Palace is the highest building on Copacabana and the view from the rooftop is amazing. Sunbeds and the pool were spot on. I assume it was due to the renovation that we had quite private breakfast on the 30th floor as luxury room guests - I loved the peaceful atmosphere there and the views - again. And it was also a bonus to have a special check-in and check-out in a separate lobby lounge. Hotel guests have access to beach chairs and umbrellas near the hotel. There was a nice beach restaurant also. If I ever return to Rio de Janeiro, I will definately choose Rio Othon Palace again."
