”Very good”

”Our room on the second floor was clean and had blinds to keep out the light at night. It was adequate but, no doubt to keep in style with being the oldest hotel in Great Britain, it wishes to retain an oldie worldie charm so the decor may appear outdated. Our bathroom could do with a revamp as the toilet seat was loose and one of the shower heads was leaking and wouldn't stay in position. Breakfast was the 'help yourself style' and there was sufficient choice. However, the breakfast room seemed...

”A lovely clean room.....staff were very friendly and helpful...breakfast was fresh and good. Bar was busy with very friendly customers. We traveled down from Scarborough for football v Buxton...after the game the bar was very busy but the home supporters made us very welcom.”

”The room was very beautiful and clean. Staff was incredibly welcoming and kind, and helped us with our heavy luggage without hesitation. Within five minutes of our arrival, we were welcomed with fresh tea, and our room had complimentary cakes! They supply a fan in the room too, which is helpful for anyone that needs some airflow for comfort. We had breakfast in the morning and the food was delicious and fresh.
