”This hotel was incredible for many reasons. First off, the view of the islands in the bay is breathtakingly gorgeous. You can hang onto the edge of the beautiful pool and gaze at the beach, water and islands below. There's an outdoor lounge and a restaurant with really good food. The service is top notch. ”Rooms very clean and quiet. Property well maintained with unique path to rooms. Complimentary breakfast was absolutely delicious! No TV’s in any rooms-take a good book. Beach easy 5 minute walk. Bar & dining area staff were excellent. Dining is semi outside and no AC (typical of most dining in Costa Rica). We were there end of April, thru first week of May and missed the rains. Entrance up to hotel parking lot might be tricky in rainy season? We enjoyed our stay at the Nya and would recommend. ”

”Reservé el Bungalow y cuando llegué me dijeron que no estaba disponible, me dieron otra habitación con un segundo piso donde los huéspedes hacían demasiado ruido, yo reservé el bungalow y pagué el doble del resto de habitaciónes para tener esa privacidad y simplemente me dijeron que era esa la unica opción, de las dos noches reservadas, estuve solo una, preferí perder la segunda noche a pasar otra noche sin poder dormir.”

”Castillo Tambor was a shot in the dark for my wife and I. We had never been to Costa Rica before and weren't sure what to expect or not expect. ”My wife and I stayed at Makanas for 10 nights on May 2024. We definitely enjoyed our stay. The studio is nice ans has everything for the stay. The staff (Vane and Leysi are the best) was awesome and prepared the best waffles and gallo pinto ever for breakfast! I would HIGHLY recomend that if you did not rent a 4 wheeler or a car, find somewhere else to stay because Makanas is very far as a walking distance from either bars/restaurants/supermarkets, and taxis are extremely expensive ”
