”Lovely warm room with comfy bed and immaculately clean linen. Tea, coffee and chocolate available together with biscuits. Bathroom spotless with minuature shower gels etc. Loads of breakfast choices with the cooked items cooked to perfection. Hosts very friendly. A five star experience.”

”This stay corrosponded with a 50th birthday we were invited to, and chose this accomodation as it was fairly close! We arrived, and no one answered the door, I then phoned, a very polite helpful gentleman let us in, and apologised profusely for not hearing the bell. I was upset at first, that my sister was on the ground floor, and I was on the top floor, but the gentleman carried up my case, I am 67 my sister 75! ”Stayed here for 2 nights recently. House actually looked better than the photos. Lots of space with plenty of towels / cutlery / glasses / plates etc. lovely quiet street within walking distance of Loughborough. would 100% stay here again. I have removed one star as the thermostat on the shower could do with being checked. Unfortunately the only temperate was scalding hot which made it difficult to shower but I’m sure that’s an easy fix for the host. Thanks so much for the stay!”

”Rooms very beaten down, marks on walls, paint peeling off bathroom door. I understand you get what you pay for as it was cheap but the rooms could have been cleaner, there was loads of spider webs above windows and all on ceiling. Had 2 power cuts during the night. At least bed was comfortable ”

”Nice old (18th century) Hotel in a nice village. Quite big rooms, a bit spotty but its part of the style I think... Good service, nice breakfast. But it is an old house and the smell (like in a cellar) remained on clothes even after washing”

”Charming pub with rooms in the courtyard. Each one had parking outside. Very spacious room with comfortable bed, smart tv and tea & coffee making facilities. Good size en suite with great shower. Towels provided along with a hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Breakfast was made to order along with continental options. Staff friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again. ”

Very dated, dark & dingy decoration In desperate need of work Located on a busy main road, so noisy traffic. Carpet unclean Bathroom in need of updating 2 cups in room but no glasses. I asked a member of staff for a glass but was told they don’t supply glasses?? Definitely not recommended at this price!!!!”

”Really nicely appointed hotel and very comfortable. There is plenty of parking You are offered a good choice for breakfast and it is very reasonable. Downside, it does not do evening meals so you have to make alternative arrangements. Fortunately there are quite a few pubs and restaurants within walking distance. Great that you can take your dog but they are not allowed in the large breakfast room and you are seated in the lounge on a sofa with a coffee table. Bizarrely the reason given is...

”Bed and bedding comfy with 2 choices of pillows. Good hot water and pressure. Only draw back was the reverse cycle was not controllable due to not having a down button. Temp stays on 25 or you could put it up not down. Had a standing fan fan which we had on all night and heating off. Too cold for windows open. ”
