”We had the most wonderful stay. Our room was beautiful and the big bath was a perfect treat! Also , the bed and pillows were super comfortable. Meals were delicious and the staff were courteous and friendly. We are already planning a longer stay in this really lovely hotel.”

”Stayed for three nights over Xmas. The walk from the pub to the accommodation was across a muddy unpaved carpark. Access to the room was via a combination door lock and privacy in the room afforded by blinds at the door ,room windows. Unfortunately there was no internal lock on the door and gaps in the blinds afforded a view into the room from outside. The room was cold on arrival and took hours to warm up. ”Nice one! Great room with a king size bed, spotless clean, spacious and cosy. The only minus was the extremely strong smell of washing detergent in the bed linen - this hotel is not suitable for allergic people!! Our clothes smelled like the washing detergent for days later... Otherwise nothing to complain about, staff was great, friendly and helpful, breakfast was good and the overall atmosphere in the hotel was good. We could stay again in this hotel.”

”We upgraded from a cosy room to a superior room. The room itself was lovely, though quite small and the bathroom had a roll top bath. The room was extremely clean and the decor was lovely. However, I would say that there was little space to put any of our things, little surface space in the bedroom and the bathroom. Our room was on the top floor; we were asked before arrival whether we had an problem with stairs, and there were quite a few levels to go up so be aware of this. I do have one...

”Room was clean and functional although furniture was rather old fashioned - e.g. writing desks rather than any clothes drawers. Breakfast was excellent! Staff very friendly and helpful.”

”Hotel old and tired, smelled strange! Room boiling hot no fan supplied. Food served was not as described on menu and of poor quality for the price. Breakfast tables had not been cleared difficult to find a clean one. Poor selection on a buffet breakfast, eggs inedible. Staff pleasant but seemed happier when outside chatting and smoking. I would not stay here again or recommend to anyone.”
