”The breakfast was lovely and plenty of choice, and we had a few of the small plates the night before , they were all very nice. All staff members very friendly and helpful .”

We went instead to a very charming cafe just for a change. Unfortunately the down side of the hotel are the rooms. We had a twin room, nice view and large. However the decor was very tired and frankly grubby. The bathroom was ok but if you tried turning round in the bath whilst having a shower you could, and I did, crack your...

”Had everything we needed, in a great spot, breakfast great, quite noisy in the room until the pub closed but to be expected when staying in pub rooms. Helpful staff, great pub. Water pump/drain system in the bathroom was really noisy but suppose this can’t be helped with old building like this.”

”Nice one! Great room with a king size bed, spotless clean, spacious and cosy. The only minus was the extremely strong smell of washing detergent in the bed linen - this hotel is not suitable for allergic people!! Our clothes smelled like the washing detergent for days later... Otherwise nothing to complain about, staff was great, friendly and helpful, breakfast was good and the overall atmosphere in the hotel was good. We could stay again in this hotel.”

”Lovely golf course and breakfast was great but slow. Room was very dated and the bed had a huge dip in the middle. Very outdated and an old TV so couldn't even put on Netflix and relax.”

”The food was excellent. The staff were helpful and Friendly. The room was clean, although there was no hooks in the bathroom to hang anything and the shower was leaking at the joint and the temperature control was very sensitive going from warm to very hot with just a minute adjustment.”

”Whilst we only live 15 minutes away we have stayed here on several occasions as it is the perfect place for a night away. Everything makes you feel so relaxed and the team are very welcoming. It has a great atmosphere with good food and the breakfast is wonderful. The country setting is lovely too but within easy driving distance of the motorways, railway and ports. I would definitely recommend”
