”The staff were all wonderful and helpful . It was 36c+ . The building is an old historic property with newly refurbished bedrooms . A fan was in the room to help with the heat . Small but comfortable with a lovely bathroom. My room faced the front and with the heat I needed my window open . The property is by the traffic lights so if you are traffic averse , ask for a rear room . Breakfast is continental but you can pay extra for a cooked breakfast, but not on Sundays . Room for 3 cars to park...

”We had the most wonderful stay. Our room was beautiful and the big bath was a perfect treat! Also , the bed and pillows were super comfortable. Meals were delicious and the staff were courteous and friendly. We are already planning a longer stay in this really lovely hotel.”

”Lovely golf course and breakfast was great but slow. Room was very dated and the bed had a huge dip in the middle. Very outdated and an old TV so couldn't even put on Netflix and relax.”

”Stayed for three nights over Xmas. The walk from the pub to the accommodation was across a muddy unpaved carpark. Access to the room was via a combination door lock and privacy in the room afforded by blinds at the door ,room windows. Unfortunately there was no internal lock on the door and gaps in the blinds afforded a view into the room from outside. The room was cold on arrival and took hours to warm up. ”We booked to stay 2 nights, arrived on Friday which was a heatwave day and was told we would get a fan in our room. When there was no fan in the room, we were told they are all allocated out! When questioned the staff, we got attitude and the response was- fine, you can have my fan, I won't have one! The same night it was thunder and lightning so we left the doors open in our room, 3am we got around 30 - 40 wasps fly into our room landing on us! It was horrific. We called reception and 2 people...

The only minus was the extremely strong smell of washing detergent in the bed linen - this hotel is not suitable for allergic people!! Our clothes smelled like the washing detergent for days later... Otherwise nothing to complain about, staff was great, friendly and helpful, breakfast was good and the overall atmosphere in the hotel was good. We could stay again in this hotel.”

”Lovely hotel, restaurant, bar, in an excellent location for shopping etc in Rye. Very good value for money. There is no free car parking but the pay & display/RINGO is immediately next door and less than a tenner a day. We can highly recommend this hotel.”
