”We liked the bed and showers. The pictures on the internet appear to be hardwood or laminated but the bedroom was carpet. The temperature in the room was humid and 77 degrees when we arrived. We attempted to turn it down and found it was locked at 70 degrees which it didn’t reach until early the next day. The sight listed this motel as 5 stars but it isn’t even close to 4. We were horrified when we looked at the wash cloth! For what they charge we were disappointed. We at least had the freedom...

”Bear in mind that I only saw one room (penthouse, balcony). This is an older property. I have stayed at a number of historic properties before and this one is maintained to what I would say is a minimum level (peeling paint and wallpaper, beat up furniture), which is not to say that it is not clean. ”I would like to write a better review for the Executive Suites because the staff were friendly and professional. However, the property is dingy, dated and not acceptable at the price point. The A/C worked but was not installed well so the main bedroom was full of moths. For similar cost, there are other motels in Chapleau that are very clean, centrally located and nicely updated. This motel needs to upgrade or drop its price!”

”No idea who give them 4* The hotel advertises itself as a 4-star property, but my experience was far from that standard. Housekeeping was poor, the dishes was extremely dirty, most restaurants were either closed or only open until 7:30 PM, and the elevators were old and extremely slow. If this hotel were honestly rated as a 2-star property, I would gladly give it 5 stars for meeting expectations. But when you promise 4-star quality and fail to deliver, the rating has to reflect that.”
