We had a two week stay May2024 and I have to say, we had a fantastic stay. We arrived just before the beginning of the season and it was pretty dead to be honest which was really nice to spend the first few days to relax. We mainly stayed by the pool most days and was very well looked after by Claudia who is a real asset to the team. She’s relentless in making sure you are well looked after. My main frustration is the rule around the use of the sun mattresses (yes that’s not a typo) around the pool being €150 a day. That’s ridiculous and there were only 1 or 2 being used, mainly after a certain time in the afternoon when things start to wind down. Personally, this is the one thing that needs to change as that’s a silly price. The food and booze is excellent although on the expensive side, you do get what you pay for so make sure if you don’t have all inclusive, you bring some cash. Everything else was brilliant, all of the team at the front desk and buffet breakfast should get a massive shout out. If we ever had an issue, it was sorted pretty much immediately. The hotel is situated 10 minute walk from the main town and you will find some brilliant local tavernas around there to complement your stay. Enjoy!!

Sehr schönes, luxuriöses Hotel. Einzig das WLAN ist außerhalb vom Zimmer (in der Anlage und auch auf der Terrasse) schlecht. Am Abreisetag wurde noch vor Checkout-Time gedrängelt, dass das Zimmer verlassen werden muss.

Très bel établissement, idéalement situé. Excellente restauration, personnel attentif et gentil, très belle chambre (suite Honey moon), par contre...... service au niveau de la chambre pas du tout à la hateur d'un 5 étoiles....

Tolle wunderschöne Anlage , Strand und Sonnenliegen perfekt , Frühstück ist super und lässt keine Wünsche offen . Bett ist sehr bequem und wir haben immer sehr gut geschlafen Uns hat nicht gefallen : das Personal im Service ist eher kühl und nicht sehr herzlich und freundlich . Ständig fehlten im Zimmer entweder einzelne Handtücher oder Duschgel… Kaffeekapseln und Milch wurden nur nach Aufforderung an der Rezeption aufgefüllt und dies auch erst nach Stunden .

Brilliant relaxing break
We stayed in an amazing room with private pool overlooking sea, room was great, service and food in all restaurants was fantastic, we enjoyed breakfast each day in the Crete restaurant overlooking the beach. We would love to go back for another holiday!

Very large property. Chic resort, with an “all inclusive” resort feel. Definitely not intimate, if you are looking for that feel. Nice beach inclusions along the property. The food was very average and higher price point. Our service and food at Buddha Bar, which has a lovely view, was not good and no awareness to the food not eaten. The room had an awkward layout, open concept, with the shower separate and right at the door. Our suite had ants all over the bar area and outdoors sitting space. The rooms are temperature controlled by the door being opened and closed - hard to regulate. Very warm and then too cold.

Good hotel but not worth it
It’s a nice enough resort and property. But very overpriced for what you get. I don’t see this Iine as a 5 star hotel. The linens and beds were great. The gym very nice. I found the rooms to be tacky for my taste. I would not stay here again especially for the price. I got a two story room. The service was great. The staff friendly and helpful. But when I think 5 star and this price I think four seasons and other type brands. And this is not there. Not even close.

Had an amazing stay for my honeymoon. Room was incredible I did not want to leave at all. as well the breakfast was so good I never wanted to miss it. Amazing time at Abaton I will be back for sure.

Eine Top Hotelanlage
Wir waren für 1 Woche Gäste im Abaton. Sehr schöne und gepflegte grosse Anlage mit diversen Restaurants und Bars. Personal immer sehr Freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Hotel Anlage ist nähe Chersonissos, das mit dem Taxi für Euro 10 sehr gut erreichbar ist. In der Nähe gibt sehr viele schöne und Gute Restaurants die man unbedingt mal besuchen sollte.

The structure is wonderful, I chose it because when I go on vacation I love tranquility and this hotel is truly a corner of paradise with a view of the Aegean, the numerous terraced views from bars and restaurants, the very kind and attentive staff. I witnessed spectacular sunrises and sunsets during my stay. I chose a luxury room with private pool and garden facing the sea. The only drawback unfortunately the pool was very cold for my habits, so I didn't have the pleasure of swimming. I recommend this property to all those who love a refined environment, convenient location to reach Hersonissos, Stalyda, Malìa and Agios Nikolaos, Preveli beach. Heraklion airport is less than half an hour from the Abaton. Absolutely recommendable

Geweldige aanrader voor hen die rust willen in een luxe en comfortabele omgeving. Alles meer dan goed, van kamer, tot voorzieningen, van personeel tot food & beverage. We komen terug. Niet goedkoop, maar je krijgt écht waar voor je geld. Dit mag met récht 5 sterren dragen!

Great experience. This was a last minute trip and we were specifically looking for a 5* luxury resort where to relax and enjoy a summer break. Food was great, the rooms were very nice and fresh, and the resort is very well kept and designed. I would highly recommend this place!
