”When we arrived, there was a mixup with the booking but they handled it really well. They gave us a room that we hadn’t booked which was fantastic. We then moved the next day into another lovely room. They bent over backwards and they couldn’t do enough for us it made my stay and my partners stay whose birthday it was on the Monday an absolutely fantastic time and may I just say thanks to Sam and the team for looking after us and making us so welcome. Absolutely fantastic stay lovely area...

”Margaret was incredibly helpful in providing suggestions on how to navigate the city and provided excellent suggestions for restaurants. The morning breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Our room was very spacious, the couch was very comfortable and the bed was fantastic. After a full day of walking around Dover, this was a very special retreat. The views are just amazing. We will plan a trip to spend more time with Margaret.”

”The room was clean, excellent showers. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We only stayed one night as we were catching a crossing the next morning,but it was during the heatwave so the air con (although not very powerful was very welcome). Overall good hotel. ”

”Excellent overnight stay prior to getting the Channel Tunnel to France for a holiday. Great location, lovely English pub, good food, great accommodation and lovely staff. Second stay here but will definitely book again if we are going to Europe in the future.”

”We recently attended a nearby wedding and stayed at The Five Bells, an amazing family-run pub and B&B. The family room was spacious, spotless, and well-equipped, with complimentary toiletries that were especially appreciated as we’d forgotten ours at home. Mary and her daughters were incredibly warm and welcoming, making our stay even more enjoyable. We would highly recommend this lovely place.”

”Very disappointed with our room for the price we paid. Have stayed in many hotels over the country and our room was very small. One side of the bed was so small it was hard to get out of bed. Some of the carpet was a bit frayed round the edges We were booked fo 2 nights but only stayed for one night. Staff were great and very helpful. The stairs up to the hotel reception was a bitof a pain with our suitcases and there were more stairs going up an down to get to our room. Im afraid I would not...

”This hotel need a big upgrade it is falling apart. Most of the lift were out of order, we got stuck in one of them and the staff was very annoyed with us instead of apologising. The croissants at breakfast were old and we couldn’t eat it. Check in was very late at 4pm and they do the check out at 10:00am too early!! Overall not a good experience. I will not go back.”

”All the staff were so very polite and eager to help. Have to mention Filippa, at the front desk, who was eager to help from the moment we arrived. The room was beautiful, recently renovated - high ceilings, gorgeous decor and well appointed. Breakfast was a real treat, really good food and excellent service. The entire Hotel gave the impression of welcome ease and coziness yet the hotel itself had the services of a large hotel. Very much hope that we have the opportunity to stay there again.”
