”WHAT A FIND!!!! A real gem
After being let down with our original booking, we found the Black Lion Hotel.
It's set in a small, quiet village near the river.
We had a superb evening meal, the pub was busy in both the bar and restaurant area all evening, which is always a good sign.... the food was superb, service was excellent
The room we stayed in was quiet, clean, the bathroom was a good size, the bed was comfy.

”Lovely property with very friendly and helpful staff. Big relaxing and inviting bar area. The pool area was ok, the hot tub was warm not hot but still relaxing after a long hike. Not a place where you can rest on lounge chairs but if you wanted to swim, sauna, steam room then perfect. Stayed in a lodge room which was the best choice, very quiet and view to greenery and trees. Room and bathroom very spacious. Highly recommend.”

”We had a lovely short stay at The Feathers. The room was lovely, with an amazing bathtub and, best of all, AIR CONDITIONING, which we really appreciated as it was unusually hot during our visit.
The room was also very quiet at night - we heard hardly anything from the pub. I recommend the pub itself too, lovely decor and very friendly staff.
We would definitely stay there again, and absolutely recommend it to other travellers.

”I stayed for one nite in room 3 top floor. It’s situated at rear so away from Main Street at front , therefore so quiet . Lovely room , my gut feeling is the breakfast would be great , but I had to leave early so unfortunately can’t comment . Parking for my motorbike was easy and also at rear.
