”Beautiful setting, very abundant plant life. We enjoyed the coqui frogs serenading us at night. The native fruit grown on the property was a treat along with the homemade banana bread. Only issue was musty when first opened, cleared fairly well when ac was turned on. Dogs barking at times at night woke us up. Beautiful place, comfortable with everything you need. ”

”The room was not clean when we checked in. There was unknown fluid on the table. Sink in the restroom was not cleaned either. There has been no A/C for two days. And there was no resolution from the staff. We have to sleep when the room was >80F. Overall, the experience was terrible”

”Good value budget hotel right on the bay in Hilo. The property is quite old, showing wear but room was clean, comfortable with fresh towels, shampoo etc, all the basics you need. It's classic old school ceiling fan and air vents rather than AC. There is occassion airport noise. Hilos airport is close to town so you can hear it as many locations, but airport isnt that busy. The hotel is not flashy at all but good value for those on budget given location. My rooms balcony directly overlooked...

”it’s a nice location, but there’s a lot of construction going on not only in the surrounding landscape but also inside the hotel. There’s a resort fee being charged every day and it’s really just a simple pool. Nothing fancy I wouldn’t say it’s really a resort. A resort really does have quite a few other amenities. There’s only one restaurant and room service only comes every other day. also, for those people who are in a balcony room in the front of the hotel, you’re going to hear a loud...

”We had a glitch with the lock but the owner was quick to respond to my phone call to give us the combo for the manual key, which I appreciated very much. The second bed was very small, the removable shower head line was leaking badly. The stove top and oven were dirty and the fan was also dirty. There was no complimentary coffee. ”
