”The hotel is close to the Koen-Shimo Cable Car station so it is easy to reach. The staff was super friendly and helpful even though we don't speak Japanese and some of them didn't speak English. Big rooms and all the free drinks, snacks and pyjamas were a big plus! Room was super warm (maybe even too warm when we arrived) but you can manage the heater yourself. Dinner and the Japanese style breakfast were delicious. Great first ryokan experience for us! ”

”Excellent stay! I stayed here many times when the property was Emblem Flow before changing names. Nothing has really changed. Great staff - very friendly and welcoming. Nice restaurant and bar with a wonderful breakfast. Also appreciated the small onsen area. I highly recommend if you're looking for an affordable stay in Gora.”

”Upea paikka Hakonen Gorassa. Aamupala oli kattava ja pääosin japanilaistyyppinen, mitä itse pidin hyvänä, maassa maan tavalla. Illan ilmainen olut, alkoholi ja snack tarjoilu oli myös upea lisä! Kävimme myös illallisella hotellissa, se oli hintava (n. 50€), mutta erinomainen hinta-laatusuhde, sillä hintaan sisältyi hyvän buffetin lisäksi myös valittavissa oleva irrallinen pääruoka, sekä alkoholilliset ruokajuomat. Hyvä sijainti, johon on helppo tulla esim. Tokiosta. Yleinen ja priva Onsen...

”Great hotel and clean. Very nice onsen and massage chair. I would definitely return! The walk from the tramway is 6 minutes along flat, but otherwise the walk up from the station is worth taking a taxi as it is quite steep.”

Just as few notes if this is your first time in this area: Difficult to use the appliances as they are in Japanese, even though they provide a QR code with instructions we couldn’t use it. There are no dining options nearby and no restaurant at the hotel. Check-in is virtual and they are strict with the 3 pm check-in. Difficult to find or request taxis. ”
