”This was really just a regular hotel room in an old fashioned building. The breakfast was what you would expect in a hotel - nothing special. The carpets are a bit old and had that old hotel smell. The rooms were not very sound proof. It would be fine if your main reason was to be in Half Moon Bay, and you aren’t looking for a particularly special or pampered experience.”

”The staff were very friendly and helpful. The outdoor sitting areas are nice. Otherwise it is fine, but definitely not what they portray themselves to be online. You can’t control the temp in your room except by opening/closing the very dirty window over the shower (luckily I’m tall enough to reach it). If you don’t keep that window open, a very weird smell develops. The balcony is covered in spider webs and when I got there the balcony door wasn’t shut all the way/locked which was unsettling....

”We booked here because we love the British style of the hotel. Unfortunately, the room and bathroom were not clean. There was hair on the shower wall and lots of hairs in the bed. This was disappointing.”

”Visited for a long weekend with my S.O. in February 2026. This place was very nice. Our room had a fireplace and nice seating in front of the TV. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful served up hot in the room. B&B was right across the street from the ocean and a block away from a very nice restaurant which we dined at twice. It is walking distance to all downtown amenities and additional restaurants and shopping. I would highly recommend and stay again.”

”Very loud because put us in room by hwy 1 and another guest above us that was walking loud till late at night and there was plenty of empty rooms that they didn’t need to do that and we were therefore for a week the pictures of property wasn’t anything like the property pictures were way way nicer..The housecleaners were very nice but guest service not very friendly but I continental breakfast was good had good choices ”

”The room was clean and very comfortable. The location is VERY convenient to downtown Half Moon Bay - right in the middle of some stores. Great for walking to restaurants and shopping. It was very quiet while we were there but I don't know about weekend noise. There is no staff on the premises but they did response to our phone calls to resolve a few minor problems. We paid for parking which was nice for coming and going. ”

”Breakfast was above and beyond the normal selections. We stayed 2 days and there were new offerings on both days. The Swiss and spinach quiche was so good. The next day it was a jalapeño and cheddar quiche muffin. The normal suspects were there. Scrambled eggs, sausage, mini waffles. You could customize oatmeal to your liking.”

”Virtually no ocean view except from the front lobby, and that was obstructed. Sits right on a very busy highway. Very limited parking in the front with difficult in/out access. Staff communication, limited and uninformed. Lots of stairs to navigate even getting in the lobby and all rooms. Nearby properties are less than desirable environment. Spacious, clean room, but amenities more of a motel category. A number of lightbulbs out in the room, bed frame broken and pops loudly, and very large...
