”Absolutely lovely property at the very top of a hill overlooking Hilo waterfront. The owners are very friendly and helpful if you need them. Otherwise, you never know they’re there. Perfect get away. Close to everything.”

”This was amazing! Great staff, great location AND there's even a swimming hole (5 min walk, if that) with a waterfall! I've never stayed in a shared house before, but this one has spoiled me! It's close enough to be able to drive to all the good tourist spots. Oh, and hopefully you're there for the "big" farmers market on Saturdays. If I get back to the Big Island I'll be coming back here! Thank you for the great time!”

”Nice suite for a weekend. Bed was comfy, tub was nice. Be aware that there is no standard shower, only a tub and hand-held (but it worked fine for us). Some nice touches - fresh fruit (yummy papaya!), nice to have a water dispenser since water bottles don't fit in the bathroom sink. Plenty of towels and bedding just right to adjust temperature (I hate it when the only choices are a HEAVY duvet or just a sheet!). ”We unfortunately were not able to stay at this property due to the lack of air conditioning. We reasonably expected some form of A/C given the warm and humid climate, but this was not mentioned in the listing.Because of medical conditions, air conditioning is a requirement for us, not just a preference. ”We loved this place so much-it was perfect for tucking in and recovering fr jet lag, with some adventures on the side. It’s a ways fr Hilo and traffic (at least when we were driving) was a lot, but once we got food we loved using it as an outpost. The 5-6 mile round trip hike to shipman’s beach is long, but the payoff is incredible. The trailhead is just a minute drive from the house. Paradise Cliffs is also a beautiful overlook just a 20 minute walk down beach road. So much good stuff so...
